Since the launch of Zenfone 2 at CES 2015, folks have been eagerly waiting for the device to launch in the Indian sub-continent.  Taiwanese electronics manufacturer has confirmed that the device will arrive in three variants in India. The firm hasn’t spoken about which models will be releasing, but the speculations are that these variants could possibly be the ZE551ML, ZE550ML, and ZE500CL.

Though, the company is yet to disclose a launch date of the handset.

Till date, ASUS has three five variants of the Zenfone 2. The ZE551ML is the top-tier device with 4GB and 2GB RAM options with 32GB and 16GB storage capacities respectively. The other two devices, as we said can be ZE550ML and ZE500CL, fit well in the Indian market’s high-specs low price approach.

Talking about what all can be expected from the upcoming ASUS handsets, then Zenfone 2 ZE551ML boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with custom Zen UI on top. A 64-bit 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor Z3580 with PowerVR G6430 GPU is equipped to the device bundled with 4GB RAM. The Zenfone 2 ZE551ML packs 13MP “Pixelmaster” rear camera along with a 5MP selfie snapper. The device might arrive at a price of Rs. 18,000.

The Zenfone 2 ZE550ML also sports a 5.5-inch screen but has an HD IPS (1280x720p) display. It stuffs a 1.8GHz Intel Atom quad-core Z3560 with PowerVR G6430 GPU with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The model also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with custom Zen UI. With 13MP rear and 5MP front camera, the ZE550ML variant is expected to be priced at around Rs. 11,900.

The ZE500CL is a cheaper sibling of all and is anticipated to cost only Rs. 9,500. It features 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS screen, 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable memory space. The handset runs on the latest Android Lollipop, and flaunts 8MP rear and 2MP front shooter.

Precise details about the models and their pricing will unfold with the official launch.
