LG Finally Puts a Price on its Stylish Watch Urbane
Mobility, tech and time all comprised, breathes out a smartwatch. LG has officially announced that it is now rolling out the LG Watch Urbane. This watch is the first to habilitate Google’s major Android Wear software update. There is no denying that the LG Watch Urbane is quite a looker – with aesthetics of a conventional wrist watch and a rich, premium and all-metal design. It joins the league of ASUS ZenWatch, Huawei Watch, Moto 360, Samsung Gear live and its very own, the LG G Watch R.
The watch features a 1.3-inch circular plastic OLED (P-OLED) display with a resolution of 320×320 pixels and a pixel density of 245ppi. It houses a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 512MB of RAM, the storage capacity on the watch is 4GB and is backed by a 410mAh battery. It features Photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor to track heartbeat, an accelerometer/compass and a barometer. An important note, that the watch is dust and water resistant.
LG has priced the stylish smartwatch at $349 (Rs. 22,000 approx). It is available in two variants, silver and gold but there is a nip to it; currently the watch is only available in the US for now and the sales begin from May 8. We don’t have an official confirmation about the watch’s arrival in India, but it is expected to launch sometime by end May.
