Xiaomi Beats Apple and Huawei to Win Top Spot in China
Yes, the results are out and we now have a reason to declare the toppers and droppers. According to IHS Technology, Xiaomi sold a whopping 99 million (14%) smartphones in the first quarter of 2015 in China. Followed by Huawei in the second position with 11% share and Apple in third with 11% share as well. What’s not surprising is, Samsung’s lowly 4th position with a 10% market share.
Xiaomi’s top position shows how much of an impact Xiaomi has in China in the smartphone category. The company is expected to sell more units and grow their market share as time goes by. The company has already released 3 new smartphones in this year, and the Mi 5 is still in line.
