With a $82.6 Million Paycheck, Apple’s Senior VP is the Highest Paid Woman in the U.S
Angela Ahrendts, 54, Apple’s senior Vice President of retail and online stores, has received the biggest paycheck by any female executive, in the year 2014. She received a whopping sum of $82.6 million, according to the Bloomberg Pay Index.
Ahrendts is not only the highest paid female executive in a company but is also just a fraction behind Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who made $84.3 million.
In the list of top paid female executives, Safra Catz, the co-CEO of Oracle, was the second highest paid female executive who received $71.2 million in 2014 as the company’s then Chief Financial Officer.
Apple’s retail strategy is very crucial and vital for the company’s growth. Exemplifying this, it is interesting to see that Ahrendts is paid more than her boss Tim Cook, who made $65 million. But the highest paid executive is GoPro CEO Nicholas Woodman, who made $284 million last year.
Apple hired Ahrendts in October 2013 to restrengthen their retailing and online store structure. Ahrendts formerly worked as the CEO for Burberry and built her career as an expert in the luxury business.
