Specs and Images of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Successor Leaked
There is yet another leak of a smartphone doing the rounds. Upleaks, a reliable source that leaks unofficial specs and phone images on the internet reveals some information of a new device. This time around, it happens to be one of Xiaomi’s smartphones. If the report by Upleaks is anything to go by, then the rumoured Xiaomi Redmi series phone comes with the model name Xiaomi H3Y and the project name is Hermes. The next potential entry in the Redmi series could feature some interesting hardware specs.
The rumour suggests that project Hermes will have a FHD display which would be a 1920×1080 resolution while the screen size still remains a mystery. The processor is a 64Bit Octa-core MediaTek MT6795 and could be coupled with 2GB of RAM. The primary camera would be a 13 megapixel shooter to feature a Samsung Isocell image sensor, the secondary camera will be a 5 megapixel OmniVision sensor. The phone will be a Dual SIM device and will support the IR Remote feature. It will have the MIUI 6 based on either Android 5.0 or 5.1.
Upleaks has also released two pictures of the front panel of the phone.
Not much can be said in terms of design but all that the upleaks suggests is that its a phone based on a metallic design.
The leaked phone has specs upgraded from the previous generation Red Mi 2 phone, giving us a good hint that it might be the successor of the Red Mi 2 smartphone.
Xiaomi has been consistent in launching their smartphones globally and we can speculate that this phone will be seen very soon and with an aggressive price.
