Samsung Mistakenly Confirms S6 Active’s Arrival
There has been a number of leaks regarding the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, from leaked images to specs and design. This time around an unofficial confirmation has come forth as the device was spotted on the Samsung Plus Program page.
Samsung’s Plus Program webpage provides the device support, additional services and other benefits for their devices. It is here that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is seen alongside Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The document strangely mentions the release date of the S6 Active as 10th April.
Initial impressions of the Galaxy S6 Active, suggest that it is immune to accidental drops. The phone will be water and dust resistant. The front has three physical buttons, which means a fingerprint scanner will be absent in this model. As per the source, the phone will sport the model number SM-G890A and a significantly larger battery of 3,500mAh. Being a variant of the expensive Galaxy S6, the S6 Active is sure to maintain its top-notch specifications.
The smartphone will boast of features like detachable battery and MicroSD card. Besides the fingerprint scanner, a heart rate monitor will also be missing in the next S series device. Samsung usually launches its Galaxy S Active models in June or July and the S6 Active is expected to launch that time around.
