Mobile World Congress (MWC) is all set to go on the floors on 27th February this year and will go on till 3rd March. Considered to be the world’s largest platform for the mobile industry, it will be held in the Mobile World Capital of Barcelona, Spain. It will include a magnificent exhibition,the Glomo Awards, an awe-striking conference and much more.

Here are the top 6 mobile phones that are expected to launch at the event.

 

  1. BlackBerry DTEK70

 

 

After being invisible in the market for quite a while, BlackBerry is expected to resurface at MWC with the BlackBerry DTEK70, codenamed ‘Mercury’. The DTEK70 will work on an Android 6.0 OS and is expected to run on a Snapdragon 821 chipset with Quad-core processor and Adreno 530 GPU. The phone will have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px, on a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display. BlackBerry has decided to retain its traditional keypad, as the DTEK70 will have a capacitive touch 3-row Blackberry Keyboard.

The phone is expected to be available with a 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and expandable storage of up to 256 GB.  The device has a 13 MP primary camera with phase-detection auto-focus and dual LED flash, while the secondary camera has an 8 MP sensor.

 

  1. LG G6

With MWC being rumored as the big launch platform for LG G6 and leaks upping the excitement even more, lots of eyes will be set on this one. The phone is expected to work on Android 7.0 OS. The LG G6 is likely to run on a Quad-core CPU and Adreno 530 GPU. Rumors suggest that the LG G6 will be launched either with the Snapdragon 835, or the Snapdragon 821 since the Snapdragon 835 chipsets are in high demand. Flaunting a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display, the  phone is expected to sport a 2880 x 1440 px resolution. The LG G6 will possibly jump to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage, still allowing up to 256 GB micro SD cards. The dual primary camera setup is expected to have a 16 MP (29mm, f/1.8) + 16 MP (12mm, f/1.8) setup, laser auto-focus and a 12 MP front camera. The LG G6 will also drop the modularity for a new sleek glass front and back design according to leaks, along with  stereo speakers.

 

  1. Moto G5 Plus

 

The Moto G5 is expected to be on its toes in terms of speed, given its Octa-core 2.0 GHz processor and Adreno 506 GPU. Installed with either a Mediatek or a Snapdragon 625 chipset, the device is expected to operate on Android 7.0 OS. The Moto G5 Plus will possibly have a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px. Speculations suggest that the phone will have a 2GB/3GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and expandable storage up to 256 GB. Optics may include a 12 MP sensor with dual LED flash as the primary snapper and a 5 MP selfie shooter.

The Moto G5 Plus may launch with a larger battery and a new uni-body metal design. The battery is expected at 3100mAh. The price of the phone is expected to be under Rs. 15000 which will definitely attract a lot of buyers.

  1. Nokia Phones

Nokia is making a comeback, and how! The Nokia 8 is likely to operate on Android 7.0 running on an Qualcomm Snapdragon 835  with an Octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU.  Nokia 8 is expected to have a 5.7 inch display with 2560 x 1440 px resolution.

The Nokia 8 will possibly be available in two variants, one with 6 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and the other with  6 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage. Both the variants are expected have an expandable storage up to 256 GB. The camera features might give its contemporaries a run for their money as the primary camera is expected to sport a 24 MP PureView sensor along with OIS, phase-detection auto-focus and dual LED flash. The secondary camera, on the other hand will have a 12 MP sensor. The Nokia 8 leaks point towards stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm jack.

Nokia will also launch the Nokia 6 for the global market along with Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 and the big comeback of the timeless Nokia 3310, a feature phone, which is expected to be launched at MWC for Euro 59.

 

  1. Huawei P10



The Huawei P10 is expected to be installed with a HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset with an Octa-core processor and a Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. Expected to sport a 5.2 inch IPS-NEO LCD display with a 2560 x 1440 px resolution. If rumors are to be believed, the Huawei P10 will be available in three variants one with 4 GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage, another with  4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage and the third variant with 6 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage.

The phone is expected to have an expandable storage of 256 GB for all its variants.The Huawei P10 may have 12 MP dual primary cameras and an 8 MP secondary camera. The device is expected to have a 3100mAh non-removable Li-ion battery.

 

  1. Nokia P1

What is better than launching two phones to support your comeback? You read it right. Apart from the Nokia 8, Nokia is expected to release Nokia P1 at the event too. Like the Nokia 8, this smartphone is also expected to run Android v7.0 Nougat on a Snapdragon 835 chipset with an Octa-core processor along with an Adreno 540 GPU. The Nokia P1, however, will have an IPS LCD display of 5.3 inches with a 1920 x 1080 px resolution.  According to rumors, the phone will have 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage along with up to 256 GB of expandable storage. The primary camera is likely to have a 22.5 MP PureView sensor and the front camera may have an 8 MP sensor. The Nokia P1 is expected to have a non-removable 3500 mAh Li-ion battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
