Nokia 8 Price Leaked Prior to MWC 2017 Launch
The price of Nokia’s flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8, may have been leaked on a Chinese online retailer website. If rumors are to be believed, Nokia 8 is scheduled for a launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. However, the leak in the price has come up right when the big launch event for the smartphone is around the corner.
On the website, the price of the smartphone was listed at CNY 3188, which roughly amounts to INR 31000. It seems as though the price was leaked accidentally and the site does not have the price listing for the phone anymore. The leaked price of the phone has given rise to a lot of speculation regarding the features and performance of the phone.
The Nokia 8 is expected to sport a 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display along with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The device is speculated to be available in two variants – 6GB RAM, 64 GB internal memory and 6GB RAM, 128GB internal memory – with expandable memory up to 256 GB. Expected to run on the Android v7.0 OS, the device is likely to have a 24 MP rear camera with OIS and dual LED flash, teamed up with a 12 MP front camera. The device will probably run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset along with an octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU.
If the speculations are true, the camera features of the Nokia 8 smartphone will stand out when compared with its contemporaries. The phone is expected to be instilled with a front mounted fingerprint sensor and accelerometer, along with other features. Reports suggest that the phone will also have a virtual assistant, which has been codenamed “Viki”.
Rumor has it that the Nokia 8 will be launched at Nokia’s MWC 2017 event on 26th February at Barcelona. While the actual features and price of the phone will only be revealed at the event, it will be fascinating to watch how the global market reacts to Nokia’s comeback.
