Huawei Watch 2 Leaked Ahead of MWC 2017
A report suggests that the Huawei Watch 2 is likely to embed a “sportier” design than its predecessor. The Huawei Watch, which was announced in March 2015, was rather bulky, however, it’s successor is likely to be lighter. The Huawei Watch 2 is expected to run Android Wear 2.0. Though the Huawei Watch did not offer a sim slot, it may not be the case with the Huawei Watch 2, which will have a nano-sim slot. When connected to a smartphone, the Huawei Watch 2 is expected to use the smartphone’s data or WiFi instead of its own cellular capabilities.
The second edition of this Android Wearable from the Chinese tech major is likely to launch at MWC 2017 in Barcelona, alongside the company’s smartphones Huawei P10 and P10 plus. The Huawei Watch 2 is expected to have a 42-millimeter dial, with a 1.4 inch round display. Also, it may be available with leather or stainless steel straps. Since the Huawei Watch had also made its debut at MWC last year, it is likely that the second generation watch from the Huawei wearable family will also be launched at MWC 2017.
The Huawei Watch 2 has been codenamed “Leo”. The wearable is expected to be available in three colors – black, orange and speckled gray. Pricing for the Huawei Watch 2.0 is presently unknown, but the watch is expected in a similar price tag as the original Huawei Watch at around US $ 249.
