At the MWC 2017, Samsung launched a plethora of tablets and no phones. Samsung went on the floor with three tablets – the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, the Galaxy Book 10 and the Galaxy Book 12.

 

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

 

 

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with a quad-core processor and Adreno 530 GPU. The touch-friendly tab runs Android 7.0 Nougat. The tablet has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2048 x 1536 px resolution, the display also supports HDR video. The Galaxy Tab S3 packs 4 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage and 256 GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy Tab S3 also packs decent optics, a 13 MP sensor with auto-focus and LED flash for the rear, while the front-facing snapper has a 5 MP sensor. The Galaxy Tab S3 is powered by a 6000 mAh battery, which supports fast charging. The battery capacity of the Galaxy Tab S3 is 6000 mAh, which supports fast charging.

The Tab S3 has been launched with a new S Pen, unlike the Tab S2 which did not have any Stylus support. The stylus of the Galaxy Tab S3 looks like a Staedtler Noris pencil, and is designed to instigate nostalgia for many who used Staedtler pencils as kids. The Galaxy Tab S3 also has Quad-speaker setup, made from AKG.

 

Samsung Galaxy Book 10 & Book 12

 

 

The two other tabs from the Samsung Galaxy Tablet family are the Samsung Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12. The Galaxy Book 10 is powered by an Intel Core m3 processor, while the Galaxy Book 12 is powered by Intel’s fanless Core i5 processor.

Both the tablets run Windows 10 and come with styli and keyboard cases. The stylus has a 0.7 mm rubber tip, and supports more than 4000 levels of pressure sensitivity with the need for charging. The Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 are also similar in terms of design, given their slim make with aluminium-based design.

The Book 10 has a 10.6-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1280 px resolution. On the other hand, the slightly bigger version, the Galaxy Book 12 has a 12-inch Super AMOLED HDR display with a 2160 x 1440 px resolution. The Galaxy Book 10 will be available in two variants : one with a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage; the other with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Book 12 will come in four variants: 4 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage; 8 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage; 4 GB RAM, 256 GB internal storage; 8 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage. Both the Galaxy Book 10 and Book 12 will support 256 GB of expandable storage via flash cards.

Samsung has not revealed the release date of any of the tablets that they released at MWC 2017, but expect them to hit markets in Q2 for a premium tier price bracket.
