The Galaxy S8 has bagged the 3C approval for the model number Samsung SM-G9500, which will be the Chinese variant of the smartphone. Though its counterpart, the Galaxy S8 Plus has not received the 3C approval yet, the development is expected soon. Both the smartphones’ US variants, the Galaxy S8 (SM-G9500) and Galaxy S8 Plus (SM-G9550) have got the FCC approval.

Set for a March 29 launch, the Galaxy S8 duo have been the most talked-about smartphones this year and the leaks have not seemed to take a backseat. Leaks have revealed that the Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 5.8-inch  Quad HD+ curved Super AMOLED display, while its counterpart, the Galaxy S8 Plus will carry a slightly larger 6.2-inch Quad HD+ curved Super AMOLED display, both with a 2560×1440 px resolution. The two smartphones will be similar in most aspects, barring the display size and battery. Both the smartphones are expected to have a curved display with IP68 rating.

The camera setup on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will most likely be equipped with dual pixel technology and 4K video capturing capabilities. Since Samsung had placed the largest order for it, it is not a surprise that the Galaxy S8 duo will pack the Snapdragon 835 chipset. With the disaster that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was, Samsung might be a little cautious with the battery setup of the Galaxy S8 duo. The batteries packed with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will most likely support adaptive fast charging, falling in line with the Quick Charge 3.0 standards.

The Galaxy S8 duo is also expected to support Qi wireless charging. Rumors have also suggested that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be available in as many as seven colors. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to go on sale on April 28, at a starting price of  799 (approx. INR 56000) and  899 (approx. INR 63000) respectively. As for availibility in India, the Galaxy S8 duo will most likely be up for sale early May.

If leaks are to be believed, not much is left to speculate about the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The March 29 event, however, will decide how credible and accurate the leaks have been.
