The Intel based Android smartphone comes to India first, and has managed to create quite the buzz. The phone is powered by an Intel Atom Processor Z2460 which is a single core chip clocked at 1.6 GHz and Hyper Threading, there is also a 400 MHz GPU on the SOC.

The x900 has a 4.03 inch display with a 1024 x 600 px resolution and gorilla glass protection. The back of the device is home to an 8 MP camera with 1080p  whereas on the front has a 1.3MP and 480p for video chat

The overall look of the phone is quite a disappointment, the build looks cheap and plasticky, it also has flimsy panels and the buttons are not tactile. the phone can easily be passed off as a cheap chinese replica model. The back however, has a nice soft touch rubber finish and is possibly he only real thing working for this phone in terms of aesthetics.

Benchmarks on this device blew out of the roof with impressive results all around, you will see in our hands on video. The phone is priced at Rs. 22,000 (US $ 425) which seems justified for the hardware and the performance, but not for aesthetics or build quality.

Check out the hands on images, featuring the best of the devices from today. Stay tuned for the Hands on Video

hey..i PURCHASED this smartphone intel xolo x900 after extensive research from tech2buzz,igyaan,anandtech,digit, youutbe,etc,etc..i got this phone after diwali and have been USING IT FOR 10 DAYS now..i upgraded it to ics ( from the xolo website) ( jb promised in december, lets see)..and i must say .. THE PHONE’s SUPERB!!!! SIMPLY SUPERB.. for its 15k ( got it from pricing . retails at 22k.
    1) processor speed and ram – simply the best.. with a neneamrk of 39.2 fps and 3950 in quadrant, no lag whatsoever .. i played temple run, nfs most wanted and there was NO LAG or frame missing.. very fast snappy . ..this is its usp.. intel has done a brilliant job with the medfield platform and 1 gb ram..
    2) display – ipt lcd display with 295ppi ( retina has 320 ppi) is vibrant and colour production ( 16m colors) is good.
    3) design is very good ( this is how a phone would like if apple and lg made it together!). the back rubber is really nice to hold. the phone feels good in the hand. the silver bezel gives a premium feel
    4) ics is stock.. no tweakings.. whichis how i prefer it.
    5) touch is responsive
    6) good call quality.
    7) wifi and browsing is a pleasure.
    AVERAGE –
    1) the cameras and speakers , though not the best, are ok ok..
    2) the battery lasts for a day witth moderate usage.. but thats the case with all smartphones.
    3) Build Quality – though the phone is fine for careful users ( like myself), it seems to be a little delicate for the tribulations of rough use.
    1) Heating – the device ( only the back lower part as mentioned by ranjit in vid) gets slightly heated up when playing games like nfs mw  but NOT WITH NORMAL USAGE.
    2) accessories – being a very uncommon mobile, it is very difficult to get a screen protector or back cover.. i m still trying but in vain.
    3) no external sd card. fixed storage of 16gb .( 10.73 available).   uses microsim.
I would recommend anybody to consider this phone for buying.. its stands along with the premium phones ( even outpermorms some like samsung galaxy nexus,s ans s2)that too for a price tag of 15k – 22k. also this phone has been manufactured by intel in hong kong.. lava is only thr marketer..sells in uk in the name of orange san diego and in russia, its sold by megaphone provider..
