Apple releases iOS 4.0.2 update, kills the jailbreak hole
Apple released the software update to patch the PDF exploit that JailbreakMe uses to jailbreak your iPhones. So if you enjoy your jail-broken device, just like we do then avoid this update. If you rely on the unlock, then it is a definite no-no. Although, we bet the Dev team may release another jailbreak sooner than we think.
is it possible to get an iphone 4 on contract with iOS4.1 in US and then unlock it to use it in India ?
So are the new iPhones 4 shipping with iOS 4.0.2 ? If yes, what happens in this case? Is one able to downgrade the OS to 4.0.1 in order to jailbreak it?
No they are shipped with iOS 4.0.0 but if like me you accidently upgraded to iOS 4.0.2 it could be a big problem even if you have saved your blogs in Cidia. There are lots of forums and videos about showing how to downgrade your iphone4 to iOS 4.0.1 or 4.0.0 but I've found they don't work (for me anyway) I constantly get an 3194 error (which is a signature error that Apple now apply to all their software) so in my case I just have to sit tight until those very nice people with enormous brains can release another hack. So be careful about doing any upgrades!
So much for jailbreakme.com .... I do hope the dev-team finds another exploitable hole. But seeing a lot of online forums, the least apple could have done is also provided a fix for the proximity sensor issue that some people have been having on the iPhone 4.
another jailbreak is on its way .. :p why is it that only a couple of teams do the jailbreak thing.. there are lot of people who can do it..who have the knowledge. i hope more jailbreakers in a competition in the future.
