RAM will be crucial...so will be the OS version. if they mess up by launching the device with Gingerbread 2.3.x like A84, they are dead. Would appreciate if someone can share details about the processor & graphics chipsets.
guys i am lost i dont know how to choose between (karbonn a18 or micromax a90) and (karbonn a24 or micromax a100)... any suggestions???
hey then what about A90. will it be launch or not. as per ur information it was going to be launch on 9th august.
Apparently this A84 is going to be priced at around 10000. This is a competing device for Karbonn A9, Spice Mi-425, Celkon A97 and G'five A86........ And is it true that Micromax is going to launch A90 on 15th August??
The criterion for choosing between these phones (since they are pretty similarly priced and are with almost the same features) is., 1. BATTERY (the first and most important one---you can buy a quadcore phone with extreme graphics and the largest screen, but ultimately when you are using it as a day-to-day phone, it should last atleast a day. And I am being generous here!! It should last longer than that!) 2. RAM- the more the better 3. INTERNAL STORAGE- This may not be an issue because rooting will pretty much circumvent this problem, if you like rooting (and voiding your warranty!). 4. Customer care and Brand recognition - as to how popular the manufacturer is. 5. Screen Resolution (which also implies pixel density) - more is always welcome!. 6. Finally- if you don't like rooting, you should also like to know about the manufacturer's ability to provide upgrades to new OSes. Otherwise you will be stuck with the same one while others reap benefits of new OS. (if you like rooting and playing with custom roms', even this shouldn't be an issue!) Of course, these are all only preliminary considerations while choosing an Android Smart phone. Little things like better Screen glass (corning gorilla glass), thinner form factor, superior build quality etc., can be compared when the phones are actually released and are available for us to buy. Till then, we can't decide anything based on promises of the manufacturers P.S.: I have been waiting for almost 2 months to get a phone(because of the promises of Karbonn A18, A21, A24, Micromax A90, A100, Spice Mi-500 etc.,) and have rounded up almost every android phone with WVGA screen (because any resolution below WVGA 800x480 sucks on android). So I myself am in the same situation as you are. We can figure out what to buy, when they are released.
Going by the looks of this mobile, this most probably is a rebranded KTouch mobile (same as Spice Mi-425). And that has a Qualcomm Scorpion Chipset (MSM7627A). So most probably this is a qualcomm one and not mediatek. However Micromax A90 might be a MediaTek SOC. These are only rumors...No concrete news could be found out. P.S.: If you carefully look at the earpiece of this device and compare it with Spice Mi-425, you will find that they are exactly identical.
Some folks at gsmarena commented that it was going to be launched on 15th August (and they were pretty sure about it) ....But I am not sure. Gotta wait and see.
