HTC yesterday at a showcase event held in Thailand showed off the new HTC Butterfly S. A revamp of the HTC Butterfly, the new Butterfly S builds along the same design strategy but adding features from HTC’s popular HTC ONE.

Curved to fit in the hand the new Butterfly S has been splashed with a metallic finish making it resemble a “car paint job”. The color options for the handset are also not limited to two like last year, this year they include a white, a metal grey and a glossy red.

The HTC Butterfly S is packed with a lot of exciting elements including a 3200 mAh battery, a Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset with a Quad-core 1.9 GHz Krait 300 CPU and the Adreno 320 GPU. The front has a beautiful IPS LCD 3 display of a 5 inch size and a full HD 1920 x1080p resolution and a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. The design and the materials used in the construction of the HTC Butterfly S show to a great extent what the thought process of the company is when they are building a handset. The HTC Butterfly S is not only functional but looks really good.

The new HTC Sense 5.0 on top of Android 4.2.2 improves on the Blinkfeed experience as well as the Camera features, including enhanced ZOE file management amang many other improvements.

The HTC Butterfly S caters to a niche, an audience which liked the original Butterfly but wants more. Hopefully it reaches India in all three colors with a price tag in the OH-So-Affordable under 40k price bracket, here is hoping anyway! Check out the images below and stay tuned for Video.

Only few stores have this in dual-sim and I really scoured the internet for that.Credits to merimobiles.com for letting me have this phone at such cheap price.(they ship wordwilde btw) Was really excited when I got it.HTC Butterfly S is not as bad as it looks in pictures as users have been having second thoughts when it comes to its design.Plus the front facing speakers is superb!I couldn’t really complain with this phone. :)

    Jaw dropping 3200mAh battery.. :O : O
But will this also have complains about weak build quality like butterfly did ?? Unexpected breakage of screen etc etc.. Im planning to buy this as soon as it is released in India, but only if this is not as delicate as butterfly.. else will have to wait for htc one dual sim. and compromise with the battery..

    • arpit

SapnaMulani HTC one is coming with dual sim? Are u sure?

      • SapnaMulani

arpit yes buddyy I read that htc one dual sim will be available to limited markets and Indian market is one of them.. Some people on other sites have claimed that they already own htc one dual..in dubai..dont know whether it is true or fake.. but mostly it will launch in India..(Hopes).

        • arpit

SapnaMulani arpit  Then i should wait for htc one dual sim instead of butterfly S. thanks for your help :)

        • SapnaMulani

arpit SapnaMulani Thats just whatever I read on Internet.. Y would u not choose butterfly S ? Aluminum Body ?? or something else ? I wish HTC One dual Sim had removable battery..doesn’t matter if its 2300mAh.

        • arpit

SapnaMulani arpit well, I am using 2 number’s… so it will be good if i get dual sim on HTC one, else i was ready to buy Butterfly S. Its really comes with nice and latest specification.
