Suzuki iV-4 Concept Teases With A Video For Frankfurt Motor Show
Suzuki has released a pair of teaser images with a teaser movie for the new SUV concept – Suzuki iV-4, which will be showcased at Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Suzuki said the concept “is an indication of the direction which will be taken with the future model to be added to the company’s SUV lineup.”
“The iV-4 is Suzuki’s new concept for a personal compact SUV,” the company said in a statement.
The darkened images released so far suggest the IV-4’s styling has hints of Range Rover Evoque about it, although Suzuki says it uses classic Suzuki SUV design cues such as a clamshell bonnet and five-segment front grille.
Suzuki has already launched one compact SUV – the SX4 S-Cross – this year. It was larger in size than its predecessor, making it a rival for cars such as the Nissan Qashqai.
Based on a shortened SX4 S-Cross platform, the Suzuki iV-4 is expected to be offered in front and rear-wheel-drive setups, and will be built at the Suzuki’s factory in Hungary.
The Suzuki iV-4 will be showcased alongside the Alto, Splash, variants of Swift, new SX4 S-Cross, Jimny, Grand Vitara and Kizashi at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
There are no details shared by the company on Suzuki iV-4, but we expect Maruti to bring the compact SUV to India soon after its international debut.
