Maruti Wagon R Stingray Spotted, To Launch On Aug 20?
It looks like the Maruti Wagon R Stingray demo cars have started filling up dealership stockyards before the launch and the launch is speculated to happen on the 20th of August.
The car will come in three variants – LXi, VXi and VXi option pack. The option pack specs the car with ABS, driver airbag, audio buttons on the steering wheel, outside mirrors that are electrically adjustable and projector headlights.
On sale in the Japanese market since 2007, the Maruti Wagon R Stingray is a more upmarket offering with modern styling and more features compared to the standard WagonR. With its sporty looks delivering an aggressive stance, the Maruti Wagon R Stingray seems much more appealing than the car that we have here.
Both Wagon R versions don’t differ on the mechanical character. They are powered by a 1-liter K Series petrol engine that puts out 68PS and 90Nm of torque. Both use the same five-speed manual transmission. The difference is the extra aggression on the Maruti Wagon R Stingray, credits to the body work.
Expect the Maruti Wagon R Stingray to be priced around Rs. 40,000-50,000 more than the current WagonR when it hits the showrooms soon.
