ASUS Launches New Padfone Infinity With Snapdragon 800
Asus has launched the all new Padfone Infinity today. This new Padfone Infinity is the refresh of the Padfone that was launched earlier in June this year. With few internal specs been modified on the new Padfone Infinity, it has been upgraded from a Snapdragon 600 processor to a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 at 2.2 GHz. Also unlike its predecessor, the new Padfone Infinity comes in 16GB and 32GB storage with a microSD card slot as an option to upgrade storage.
The new Asus Padfone Infinity will come sporting a 13-megapixel, f/2.0 rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper. This new upgraded camera comes with the a new feature called PixelMaster that is able to increase the image quality by squeezing in pixels from 13 megapixel shot to a smaller, but higher quality 3 megapixel image. Something we have seen with HTC ultrapixel camera.
With the new improved UI by ASUS, the new Padfone Infinity runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Rest of the other specifications remains the same as predecessor. Also there is nothing been notified by the company on the international availability of this device.
The new Padfone Infinity comes in two colours – Platinum White or Titanium Black and will be available in Taiwan first at US $640 for 16GB variant and US $710 for 32GB variant. Also the Infinity Dock station can be bought separately at US $240.
