Wireless Charging Done Write, Might just Come to iPhone
There is a mixed view when it comes to wireless charging. Some people believe that it’s a nothing more than a sham or gimmick with no actual use while the proponents think that it’s a very convenient way to charge your phone. Me personally come in the later category and I feel that putting my phone on a simple slab to charge is much more conviniet than messing with the cables, reversible or not. I just love the fact that Google has built Wireless charging capabilities right into their Nexus devices and enjoy just placing my Nexus 5 on cheap Qi enabled wireless charging pad with Daydream and Dashclock. I would love nothing more than doing the same for my iPhone 5S.
A company which goes by the name of WiTricity have provided us with a concept video of a new product which provides wireless charging to the iPhoen5S and iPhone 5. To further sweeten the pot they have conceptualised a system which works via magnetic waves and does not require to even have a slab for placing your iPhone to charge. All you need to do put a unit under your computer table, coffee table or any table for that matter and the whole surface becomes a charging pad. As expected we can charge a multiple phones on one surface.
The project has been initiated but the fully functional product is far in pipeline. As of now there is no ETA, but let’s hope this comes soon and hopefully before the new iPhone launch.
Here is a video demonstration of the Charger in action.
