i wonder who buys locked iphone in india, when one can get a better model for half a price.Airtel need to realise this that we are not fools to buy it for 35-40K at the time when world is waiting for iphone5.
apple still does not consider india as a good market.

Phones are meant to be locked if they are subsidized. You can trust Airtel (and other operators) to sell locked iphones on full price, just like they’ve done in the past. The same was true with Blackberries until Redington started selling factory unlocked ones at market driven rates. I clearly remember when only operators were selling Blackberries, the price of the Pearl 8100 went down from 25k to 24k in 3 years!

Can I get the microsim for iphone 4 in India?

Although microsim is not available with any of the service providers, but there are mobile repair shops who will cut the normal sim to fit in iphone4 which works perfectly fine or try shops which sell imported mobile phones. I hope this helps.
