It seems Amazon simply cannot wait for Apple to launch it’s next phone as the company takes lead on launching its new Accessories page for the iPhone 7.

Earlier in June iGyaan had reported that Amazon will launch prime in India, and today is the day that happens. The company has officially launched Amazon Prime in India, offering free One-Day and Two-Day delivery to its subscribing customers.
The service is free to try for two months, after which the company will charge a sum of Rs. 499 for a 1 year service for early subscribers offering a limited discount of Rs. 500 from the usual 1 year membership of Rs.999 for one year. Flipkart sees some bad days while the company is seeing a mark down in share value by up to 27%, a lot of manufacturers are choosing to go with other Online e-commerce players which offer not only better customer support but have better business practices.
A mutual fund managed by Morgan Stanley has recently marked down the value of Flipkart’s shares by 27%, indicating that global investors believe India’s largest internet company is overvalued.

New reports suggest that Amazon might be the owner of a secretive air cargo service that launched earlier this year. Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) had begun shipping consumer goods out of a decommissioned air base in Ohio. According to the listing, this handset will come with a 5 inch display, along with a 1080 pixel resolution and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 processor. Amazon had launched its first FireTV last year, and is back with the launch of the second generation FireTV media receiver later, this year. The company intends to pit its new FireTV against the Apple TV that was unveiled at the event just two days ago.

While the world was glued to the launch of Apple’s new smartphones, Amazon quietly killed off its own. The Fire Phone was released last year and has since then fared poorly in the market. The phone was the first and only smartphone launched by Amazon, and the company has no plans on bringing it back.
According to the Amazon website, the phone is currently unavailable and “we don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock”. An Amazon spokesperson told Fortune that “we sold through our inventory of the Fire phone in the U.S. and globally, and we do not plan to replenish stock at this time,”
