Microsoft may have just launched the most creative Desktop PC ever. For a price of $2999 the 28 inch Desktop comes with what Microsoft is calling a PixelSense display a resolution of 4500 x 3000 (192 PPI), which still does not beat the iMac 5K screen but there is something extra. The screen supports a 10 point multitouch capacitive input and also takes inputs from the surface pen.
You will get an option of 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB RAM and a choice between 6th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 chips. The hardware comes loaded with Windows 10 Pro and has a tiny desktop footprint. The hinge of the main unit folds down to become more “Surface” like, and graphics get [...]

Flash back five years and Bitcoin, the crypto-currency that so tantalized techies and excited investors were on the rise, but it is a completely different state of affairs today for this digital currency of the future. Its core community is at war with each other and ordinary consumers still don’t care about this supposedly revolutionary form of money.
Now making things more difficult for Bitcoin, the currency is facing a new issue which could spell doom for its existence. As of now, time taken for Bitcoin transactions to be processed has increased dramatically resulting in funds being stranded, and organizations are not accepting transactions in the [...]
Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has voiced his opinion about Apple’s Macs and has clearly stated that the computers just aren’t powerful enough to support the Rift VR headset.
“That is up to Apple and if they ever release a good computer we will do it,” Luckey tells ShackNews when asked about Mac support. “It just boils down to the fact that Apple doesn’t prioritize high-end GPUs. You can buy a $6,000 Mac Pro with the top of the line AMD FirePro D700, and it still doesn’t match our recommended spec.”
Apple’s high-end MacBook Pro laptops come with pretty mighty specifications including dual-discrete GPUs. However, the Macs [...]
We’re less than a month away from the next Apple event that will see the launch of (at least) two new products – the iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3. Now, while we have a good amount of knowledge about the iPhone 5se, there’s very little that we know about the iPad Air 3 apart from rumours that it will sport the latest A9X chipset along with the iPhone 5se.
Latest rumours doing the rounds suggest that the new iPad is merely a 9.7-inch variant of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It will be powered by the Apple A9X SoC, carry quad-speakers, and contain 4GB of RAM, similar to that seen in the iPad Pro. In other words, the iPad Air 3 will, in fact, be an iPad Pro, only [...]
It has always been clear that Apple’s main focus has been towards its iPhones. Yes, the Cupertino giant has a bunch of other products as well that sometimes tend to get pushed into the background, like its Macs. But that won’t be the case four months from now when Apple launches the OS X 10.12 that will introduce Siri for Mac.
Siri, the personal voice assistant for the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch will now come to the Mac as well. Apple has been busy testing versions of OS X with Siri for the past 3 years. After working out and polishing the interface, Apple will be ready to launch the feature publicly. Over the years, Apple has improved Siri’s functionality [...]
News that is sure to miff overclockers around the globe, Intel has gone ahead and released an update for its Skylake CPUs to stop users from overclocking processors which it believes they shouldn’t. For overclockers searching for an economical way to get a little more juice out of their powerful computing hardware, the skylake generation of processors came as a godsend.
Users with the locked, Non-K skylake processors towards the end of last year, started receiving BIOS updates from ASRock which enabled base clock frequency overclocking. Other motherboard vendors followed with such BIOS updates thus giving users a relatively inexpensive intel processor to [...]
Welcome to the future where computers read your mind and Artificial Intelligence is on the cards. A new computer program developed by a team of researchers at the University of Washington in Seattle can decode your thoughts with the help of electrodes.
This program requires electrodes to be implanted in the mind of the subject. Based on the chemical changes that thoughts lead to, these electrodes would convey electrical signs which can then be read to decipher a person’s thoughts. The entire decoding process takes no more than a few milliseconds after an image is seen by the subject.
“Clinically, you could think of our result as a proof of concept toward [...]
Apple updated its MacBook range during this time last year, and fans and industry experts expect the tech giant to do the same this year too. Unlike how things have gone for the iPhone, Apple has managed to keep a tight lid on the information leaking out of Cupertino for its range of MacBooks.
But from whatever little is known courtesy of reports circulating on the Internet, one big upgrade that the 2016 MacBook range will see the inclusion of newer Skylake processors up from the present fifth-generation Broadwell chipsets. This upgrade could be significant in the sense that it will bring to the new lineup better performance with its improved hyperthreading [...]
