Google will most likely unveil the latest version of the Android OS ‘Android M’ in its annual I/O developers conference. The conference is scheduled for the 28th of this month.

The tip-off got its source from Google’s official schedule for this year’s Google I/O conference. A scheduled session named ‘Android for Work Update’ made specific mention of ‘Android M’. We know what comes after ‘L’ don’t we? Immediately afterwards the schedule session post was removed since it garnered a lot of speculations and rumors on various websites. Apart from the project name ‘Android M’, all that the post described was that it “brings power of Android to all kinds of workplaces.”

It is to note that ‘Android L’ (which is Lollipop) was announced at last year’s Google I/O, and a developer preview was subsequently released. Google revealed its final “Lollipop” name months later though.

If Google unveils Android M, it will be the 10th major update to the OS since it was first released six years ago.
