Airtel Collaborates With Samsung to Lure Consumers to Its 4G Service
Airtel is expanding its 4G services at a rapid pace all across the country. The company recently started its 4G service trials in Chennai and is set to launch next in Hyderabad and Mumbai. While the telecom giant is building the infrastructure and providing for its 4G network, it is making sure that the consumers opt for this service. This can mean luring subscribers from other telecom companies or having its own customers upgrade to its 4G service.
To make the 4G service accessible to masses, Airtel has announced a go-to-market partnership with Samsung to proliferate 4G devices. This collaboration will have Samsung retail stores facilitating easy Airtel 4G SIM swap for customers buying 4G smartphones.
Many new smartphones are 4G ready and almost all Samsung smartphones provide 4G support. Airtel will also offer bundled Airtel 4G SIMs along with Samsung 4G handsets available in the Indian market.
Currently Airtel 4G double data offers are available for Samsung’s Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 mobile devices. The offer by Airtel will not be restricted to premium phones only, Samsung will be looking at launching its new Core Prime 4G mobile smartphone in Airtel 4G markets.
Airtel 4G services will allow users to effortlessly enjoy high definition video streaming with zero buffering. The company claims that one can download 10 movies in less than 30 minutes.
Along with the 4G SIM, Airtel is also offering a WiFi hotspot device that allows compatible mobile devices to connect to the 4G network and experience its super fast 4G speeds.
