Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ Specs Leaked
A major leak about the Samsung Galaxy S8 has revealed the expected specifications of Samsung’s flagship smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are set for a March 29 release.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to run Android 7.0 OS. The phone is likely to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SOC with an octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU. The Galaxy S8 is expected to have a 5.8 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 2960 x 1440 px resolution. The device may be available in two variants, one with 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and the other with 4 GB RAM, 128 GB of internal storage. The two variants are expected to have expandable storage of up to 256 GB (for both single-sim and dual sim models). The phone may have a 12 MP rear dual-pixel camera and a front-facing 8 MP camera. The Galaxy S8 is likely to have a 3000mAh non-removable Li-ion battery, with Adaptive Fast Charge. Additional features include an iris scanner like the Note 7, IP68 waterproof design similar to the previous gen. Galaxy S7 and wireless charging.
The South Korean tech giant may launch another phone with S8, which will be called the Samsung Galaxy S8+. The Galaxy S8+ is also expected to have the same chipset and similar specifications, however, will have a larger display of 6.2 inches with a Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display.
While speculations are abundant, we will only know when Samsung executives get on stage with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29 2017.
