Reliance Jio Unveils Prime Membership Plans and Tariff
The Jio Happy New Year offer will come to an end on 31st March, 2017. With this, the Jio users will have to pay for the services they avail, except for the voice calls. In the wake of this, Reliance Jio has introduced the Jio Prime subscription option for its 100-million user-base.The Jio Prime plans will allow users to choose from an array of low-cost plans, so that they can continue to avail Jio services without any interruption.
The Reliance Jio Prime subscription will require the users to pay a one-time fee of Rs. 99, followed by monthly rentals. New users as well as users who are for the time being a part of the Happy New Year Offer can upgrade to the Jio Prime subscription by paying an annual fee of Rs. 99. The Jio Prime subscription will be valid till March 31, 2018.
If users buy a Jio SIM before March 3, 2017, they can avail the Happy New Year Offer till March 31, 2017, post which they will have to subscribe to Jio Prime. However, if a user buys the Jio SIM after March 4, 2017, he/she will have to take the Jio Prime subscription right away in order to avail free services till March 31, 2017.
Reliance Jio has said that, in order to subscribe to the Jio Prime, customers can either use the MyJio app or they can visit the website jio.com. The option of walking into a Jio/Jio partner store and subscribing for Jio Prime is also available. Users can opt for prepaid as well as postpaid options. Reliance Jio will alson offer “Booster Packs”, in addition to its other tariff plans.
The Jio Prime subscription plan will be applicable from April 1, 2017. Last month, Reliance Jio reached the milestone of 100-million users in India. After the introduction of the Jio Prime subscription plan, it will be interesting to see whether the customer base for the telecom services provider will grow or witness a decline.
