In a recent leak by Kevin Wang, a popular Chinese analyst, revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 might be available in a ceramic variant as well.T he post also suggests that Apple might also resort to a ceramic-construct for its iPhone next year.


Though just a tip, this might be a possibility given that Xiaomi Mi 6’s predecessors, including the Mi Mix, also featured a ceramic body. Though it was previously reported that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be equipped with the IMX386 camera sensor, a separate report has suggested that the smartphone might in fact feature Sony’s IMX400 camera sensor for the primary camera. Moreover, rumors also indicate a dual camera setup for a higher-end variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6. Among the array of leaks that have surfaced, sketches of the Xiaomi Mi 6’s render were also revealed. The sketches also emphasized on the possibility of a dual camera setup.

While expected with an edge display, Xiaomi may launch a flat variant of the Mi 6 with a 5.2-inch LCD display and 2560 x 1440 px resolution. While the edge variants will sport s QHD resolution. Previous leaks have suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be available in two storage variants: one with 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and the other with 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, albeit the under clocked variant.

While the glass variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6 will most likely be available at a price of 1999 CNY (approx. Rs. 19600), the ceramic variant is expected to go on sale for a price of 2500 CNY (approx. Rs. 24500). Xiaomi Mi 6’s launch date will most likely be April 16, however, there has not been any official announcement. The availability date of the Mi 6 is still unknown, and will hopefully be within a few days from its launch.
