Realme 1 Silver Limited Edition Launched In India At Rs 10990
In May, OPPO launched its sub-brand Realme in India. Subsequently, Realme launched its first-ever smartphone, the Realme 1 at a very competitive price in India. The Realme 1 has a 6 inch display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution. Despite the 18:9 aspect ratio, the bezels aren’t the thinnest, which is acceptable for a smartphone that costs less than Rs 10000.
The smartphone runs on the MediaTek MT6771 Helio P60 chipset. The smartphone retails in three different RAM and storage models. The onboard storage is expandable via a microSD card in case you run out of the onboard storage provided. Powering the smartphone is 3410 mAh battery which charges via a micro USB slot.
The Realme 1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS 5.0 on top. The custom skin is very similar to skins by Chinese smartphone makers, there is no app drawer and you’ll barely notice the version of Android because of the heavy customisation. There OPPO Cloud for people to store their data on the internet instead of their devices. Clone Apps will let consumers use two separate accounts of the same app, which can come in handy for a lot of people.
One downside and a potential deal-breaker for many would be the lack of a fingerprint sensor. In today’s world, a fingerprint sensor has become the norm for a budget smartphone. It even misses out on a dual-camera setup which is available on devices like the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Zenfone Max Pro, albeit a higher price tag.

The smartphone also misses out on a dual-camera setup, again, a feature that has become the norm. It has a 13MP camera on the back along with an 8MP front-facing camera.
The budget device from Realme is a great offering at the price point. The new Silver edition gives one more option to users to choose from.
