Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Teased Ahead Of September 19 Launch
The smartphone market is flooded with rumours about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth for a while now. A few days back we saw an official invite from the company stating that the launch event will be held in Chengdu, China on September 19. Now ahead of the official launch, Xiaomi has teased its fans with a teaser video on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo.
Previously, an alleged spec sheet of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth was doing round on Weibo.
Xiaomi Mi8 Youth Expected Specs
According to the previously leaked spec sheet, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will sport a 6.26-inch, 2280 x 1080 pixel display. Seeing the resolution, it is discernible that the device will have a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on the top. The leaked spec sheet revealed the possibility of 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and a 3350 mAh battery.
On the optical front, the smartphone might feature a dual rear camera setup where the primary sensor is likely to be 12 MP and the front camera might have a 24 MP sensor. Speculations say that the secondary sensor could be either 2 MP or 5 MP. The reports did not give out any information regarding the operating system and user interface. However, rumours say that the device will have MIUI 9.6, based on Android Oreo.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth: Price in India
Although there is no official statement about the price of the phone, the Mi 8 Youth is expected to cost around 1,999 Chinese Yuan. This makes it Rs 20,999, however, the actual price will be revealed on September 19. It remains to be seen when will the Mi 8 Youth make it to India, as none of the phones in the Mi 8 Series have been released in India yet.
