Misfit Launches Vapor 2 Smartwatch
Misfit, a Fossil owned electronics company that specialises in wearable technology has launched the Vapor 2. It is a smartwatch which runs on the Android platform and is the successor to last year’s Misfit Vapor. The watch is available in 41 mm and 46 mm size cases. The device is priced at $249. The smartwatch will be available soon via the company’s own website and other retailers.
The Misfit Vapor 2 runs on Wear OS and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. The smartwatch connects to a smartphone and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.It has a redesigned, built-in heart rate sensor with Google Assistant as well. A standalone GPS and wireless music player with onboard storage is also available in the smartwatch. The watch can connect directly to wireless headphones to play music. It has 4 GB of storage along with 512 MB of RAM.
The Vapor 2 is water resistant upto 30 M which means it can survive a splash in a shallow swimming pool. The watch also has NFC which can be used to make payments via Google Pay. A 300 mAh battery which will power the device for a while day, according to the company. The charger, which is included in the box is capable of charging the device upto 80% in 50 minutes.
The smartwatch will be available in 1.2 inch and 1.4 inch screen sizes and boasts an AMOLED display like the previous model. The watch features a 328 ppi display. It will be available in 41 mm and 46 mm cases. It can display all the messages, emails, calls, app notifications, alerts and alarms from your smartphone on it’s always on display. The Vapor 2 will be available in different colour schemes on the Misfit website. The price of the watch will change accordingly. Apart from the colour options there are different bands available on the Misfit website to customise the Vapor 2.
