What Apple Might Announce At Its October Event
Apple is a few days away from launching their new products. The event will take place in the Brooklyn Academy of Music, in New York. Not much information has been released as to what should expect from this event. However, it is reported that a new iPad will be introduced with a bezel-less display and Face ID. There are a few rumours about the upcoming launch. A Bloomberg report suggests that the Silicon Valley giant is likely to announce the new iPad Pro, a new laptop that would be replacing the MacBook Air and an updated Mac Mini.
iPad Pro 2018
A new iPad Pro with a reduced bezel display and without the notch is expected at the event. This will be the most significant launch during the event. Apple has already killed the home button in the iPhone and is expected to do the same for the iPad. The iPad might still retain some bezels to illuminate the LCD screen. The Rumours state that the new design will bump up the 10.5 inch display to an 11 inch panel. The redesigned iPad might also feature squared-off sides like the iPhone 5, 5s and SE from a few years ago.
Not much is known about the specifications of the new iPads. Although, reports state that the new iPad will ship with Face ID. The Face ID will work in both portrait and landscape orientations. Face ID will also enable Animojis on iPads for the first time. A variant of the A12 processor presumably the “A12X”, will also be included in the new iPad along with a custom Apple graphic chip. The could also increase the battery life of the device. A USB-C charger will be replacing the old Lightning connecter for charging the device and syncing data. The device will also offer a storage capacity of 512 GB.
The New MacBooks
Sources also state that the company is also bringing changes to the MacBook Air and the Mac Mini. A new entry level laptop will be replacing the MacBook Air. It will have a higher resolution, 13 inch display will smaller bezels. The Mac Mini will also receive it’s first major upgrade since 2014. It will be aimed at professional users and will feature new processors. Apple is also working on new iMacs, iMac Pros and 12 inch Macbooks with better processors. Little is known about the new updates.
