Samsung W2019 Flip Phone Leaks
Every year since 2015, Samsung has launched a flip phone in China with two screens, top of the line specifications, and a very high price. As it is almost time for the W2019 to be officially be unveiled, there are a lot of leaks about the device. The phone ditches the current design trends of slim bezels with notches and settles for a more traditional design. It will also feature a dual camera setup and S9 like specifications. The phone will be sold only in China and Korea just like its predecessors.
Samsung has decided to ditch the infinity displays and bezel-less designs and settle for a blocky, brick like design. The phone will have two 4.7 inch full HD displays on the top panel. The bottom panel will be reserved for a T9 keyboard. The phone will ship with a dedicated Bixby button on the left side and power and volume buttons on the right. It might also lack the 3.5 mm audio jack and will have a USB-C port.
It is expected that the phone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and a dual camera system, like the S9+ and Note 9. It will also ship with Android 8.1 Oreo with a possible upgrade to Pie in the future. The phone will likely have similar internals as the other Samsung flagship phones.
The phone is expected to be priced around 20,000 Yuan which is about $3000. The phones will also be limited to the Chinese market like the previous W series phones. Samsung is yet to announce any details regarding the launch.
