New Studios Joining Microsoft To Work On Exclusive Games For Xbox
Microsoft has made some big announcements in their recent X018 event in Mexico City. The tech giant has also announced the release date of the much awaited, Crackdown 3. It looks like Microsoft is looking to expand it’s Xbox exclusive games arsenal. The company revealed that 16 new games will be added to Xbox Game Pass, including PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Earlier this year Microsoft Studios announced that they have acquired five new gaming studios. Now they have announced that some more studios will be joining them.
Microsoft is acquiring studios like inXile Entertainment, Obsidian Entertainment, and more. Obsidian Entertainment is the studio know for creating games like Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars Of Eternity and South Park: The Stick Of Truth. These studios are a nice choice to fill the lack of RPG games that exists on Xbox. These studios will also help Microsoft Studios to create more exclusives for Xbox.
The software giant will now have a total of 13 game development teams. All of these teams will now be working on exclusive titles for the Xbox. This is one sector where Xbox has been lacking. These studios will continue working independently with their unique talents and expertise. As a part of Microsoft studios, they will have full support and freedom to realise their creative ambitions on new RPG projects.
Additionally, Microsoft released a full list of the 16 titles that will be available on Xbox Game Pass. The title which will be available on Xbox Game Pass are:
- PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- Kingdom: Two Crowns
- Supermarket Shriek
- Void Bastards
- Pathologic 2
- Secret Neighbor
- The Good Life
- Thief of Thieves
- Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden
- MXGP 3
- Agents of Mayhem
- Thomas Was Alone
This would definitely be good news for the players. They will now be able purchase games for a lower price and will also have something to look forward to. Xbox would now have it’s own exclusive games. With studios like Obsidian Entertainment involved, this will surely be worth the wait.
