Volkswagen launches new Touareg, starts at Rs 58.5 lakh

European auto major Volkswagen today launched a new version of its sports utility vehicle Touareg in India, priced at Rs 58.5 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The new generation Touareg will be available to customers in diesel variant in automatic transmission from end of September, the company said in a statement.
The new Touareg is 41mm longer, 12 mm wider than its previous version. The SUV boasts of bi xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and a panoramic sunroof. It comes equipeed with a 3 litre V6 TDI engine that delivers a maximum power of 245PS@3800-4400rpm, the company claims. Touareg has a mileage of 12.08 kmpl, the company said.
The new Touareg has ’14 way’ electrically adjustable front seats and two piece front center armrest with movable with storage compartment. It comes packed with safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESP), ABS with brake assistant and driver & passenger airbags.
