Adobe’s CEO, Shantanu Narayen said that Adobe’s problems with Apple, which were a result of Cupertino’s decision to omit support for Flash in its products, are over.
“Yes, the argument is over from our point of view,” Narayen said. “We are so excited about opportunities we have. We’re focused on that.”“At the end of the day, where Adobe makes its money is through our application tools, as well as our solutions, (and) being able to make that content and measure that content and manage that content,”
He also talks about Adobe’s achievements with the Blackberry PlayBook, But has really no answer to the poor performance of the Flash content on the Android Platform.
The three biggest names in the search engine industry have joined hands to launch a new project called schema.org which will help improve search results. The site consists of a common set of HTML tags that webmasters would use to mark up structured data on their sites.
“We are announcing schema.org, a new initiative from Google, Bing and Yahoo to create and support a common vocabulary for structured data markup on web pages,” Google said in its blog yesterday.
Site owners can now learn about structured data and improve how their sites appear in major search engines. The site aims to be a one-stop resource for webmasters looking to markup their pages.
This is not the first time the three companies have partnered up. In early 2006 they came together to create sitemap.org, which helped standardise sitemap protocols.

We have heard some amazing and shocking stories relating to Apple products, from thieves to muggers, but this by far is the worst. A 17-year-old Chinese boy living in the Anhui province in China sold his kidney for 22,000 yuan, or about $3,400 (INR 1,60,000/-) So that he could buy the iPad 2.
“I wanted to buy an iPad 2 but could not afford it,” the unnamed boy told Shanghai Daily. “A broker contacted me on the Internet and said he could help me sell one kidney for 20,000 yuan.”
He underwent surgery at a Chenzhou hospital. When his parents found out, they notified the police immediately but they have been unable to locate the broker, according to the report. The child now says he regrets his decision.
Make sure the next time you need to buy things you cannot afford, the enjoyment of owning that item, will be a lot less without your crucially important bodily organs.

The Japanese manufacturer is coming out with a new tablet called the Thrive this summer. The Thrive has most of the features you’ve come to expect from a tablet, a 10.1 inch screen, the latest version of the Android operating system, Honeycomb 3.1, front-facing 2.1-mega pixel camera and 5-mega pixel rear-facing camera for photos and video conferencing, a gyroscope, rotation lock, and a 7- to 8-hour battery life (that’s continuous hours of playing HD video). It weighs in at 1.6 pounds, and is a little on the thicker side at 0.6 inches.
The thickness was compromised for several features that Toshiba thinks customers will want: built-in HDMI out port, USB, mini USB, SD card slot. In other words, ports you’d find on many computers. The Thrive also comes with a few perks. It has Log Me In software installed for you to control your desktops from the tablet, a file manager built on top of Android for you to view files stored on your pen-drives and SD cards and also a piece of software that’s called PrintShare which allows you to print documents directly from the tablet, which is similar to Apple’s AirPrint and Samsung’s MobilePrint.
The Thrive will come in three sizes: 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. All are Wi-Fi only, and will be priced at $429, $479, and $579, respectively.

You can now turn your iPad into a fully functional laptop by purchasing the Crux Loaded case. For $250 you can purchase this case which has an iPad dock in place of the screen. It gives you a keyboard and trackpad that connects to your iPad via Bluetooth, and a 7.5 hour extended battery on top of the iPad’s already impressive 10 hour battery. To make full use of it you would need a remote desktop app on your iPad.
Of course, for the price of this dock + the iPad, you could probably buy a decent stand-alone laptop but its always good to have options.

When we were children, we had a lot of toys that we thought were really cool. Among them were some Hotwheels cars, a few GI-Joe action figures (which we had great fun with on Diwali —- Read EXPLOSIONS), some LEGO and a few other things. Today, kids have all the fun. Japanese manufacturer Sakakibara Kikai has released a fully functional Mech Suit , with working claws, for your child to terrorize his/her peers into submission.
Weighing in at a whopping 340kg, the suit is 1.6m in height, 1.6m wide and 1.3m deep. It runs on a gasoline engine and is perscribed for children of ages 4 and up. The suit costs 1,800,000 Yen. it looks like they’re working on a model for adults as well.

Sony is dealing with a bad year. After several cyber attacks already in the past month, this time around Sony Pictures was attacked by Lulz Security (laughing at your security since 2011) and they claim to have stolen the personal information of over 1,000,000 users. The attackers claim that the information was stored in plain text format in plain sight in and required just an SQL injection.
The group has already revealed 20,000 email / password combos of unfortunate users, along with 20,000 Sony music coupons, and the admin database for BMG Belgium employees.
Sony should soon be opening job positions for Cyber Security experts, get your CV’s ready.

Apple inc. filed a patent yesterday, that they could actually potentially use. Pairing an infrared sensor with the camera already on board, portable devices could receive data from transmitters placed on strategic locations at copyright events.
These transmitters would prevent the camera from recording and would instead show, watermarks, blank screen and even warning messages to the smartphone user.

Theres something about playing pool while you’re in a pool thats just really cool. You also have the added bonus of being able to crack as many pool related jokes as you want if you buy this thing.
Its a waterproof Pool table and it works both in and out of a pool. It doesnt come cheap at $6500, but its better than ruining a non-waterproof pool table by putting it in a pool.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor registered sales of 7470 units in May 2011. The company sales grew by 24% when compared to the corresponding period last year. Etios sold 3412 units in May 2011.
This is great news for the company who saw declining numbers just two years ago.
Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, TKM said, “The actual impact of the suspension of production is seen in the drop in sales in May. The production was back to full swing from 20th May onwards, much earlier than expected. We are now back on track and are all set to launch the Etios Liva. With the increase in Etios production, we would like to bring down the waiting period to one month before we launch Liva. The launch will be as per schedule in the last week of June”.

The development of a German network of hydrogen filling stations is gaining pace. The automotive manufacturer Daimler AG and the Linde technology group announced in Stuttgart that they intended to open 20 new filling stations in Germany over the next three years. This will more than triple the number of public hydrogen filling stations in the country. The new stations are to be set up in the regions of Stuttgart, Berlin and Hamburg, which are already supplied with hydrogen, and along the most contiguous possible North-South and East-West axis. For the first time, this would enable every location in Germany to be reached by a fuel-cell vehicle by the year 2015.
The setup of the 20 new filling stations will begin in 2012, at existing convenient locations already operated by various oil companies. The joint initiative by Daimler and Linde, which involves an investment in the tens of millions, has also been opened up to other potential partners in the fuel, energy and automotive industry.
The infrastructure initiative of Daimler and Linde forms a bridge with already existing hydrogen projects such as the H2-Mobility or Clean Energy Partnership, which are being subsidised by the National Innovation Programme for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP). Germany will therefore assume the leading position in terms of an international hydrogen infrastructure.
“The development of electrical mobility will be largely characterised by the hydrogen fuel-cell”, explained Wolfgang Reitzle, Chairman of the Board of Linde AG. “We are delighted to be able to shape this development in cooperation with Daimler. We see ourselves as a forerunner in the field, and aim to promote the market maturity of hydrogen-powered vehicles.” The aim now is to ensure the gradually increasing number of fuel-cell powered vehicles running on generatively produced hydrogen.
“Circling the globe with our three green B-class vehicles has shown that the time is ripe for electric vehicles powered by fuel cells. We must now address the subject of the relevant infrastructure”, said Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Daimler AG, and Director of Mercedes-Benz Cars, looking forward to the immediate future. “Car-drivers can only benefit from the advantages of technology if there are enough hydrogen filling stations available: long rangers, short refuelling times and no local emissions.” A focal point of the infrastructure development in Baden-Württemberg will be where such a re-intervention should start, 125 years after the original invention of the automobile.
The establishment of a comprehensive network of filling stations is an essential requirement for the successful introduction of hydrogen-powered vehicles, as planned by Daimler for the year 2015. Of the 30 hydrogen filling stations in Germany, only seven currently formed part of public filling station operations. In comparison: five to 10 filling stations would be required to supply a major city. The connection of individual major conurbations now undertaken, such as Berlin and Hamburg, Stuttgart and Munich, with hydrogen filling stations along main traffic routes is the logical next step towards a comprehensive network of filling stations.
