LG’s AllJoyn Support Will Enable Smart TV Control From Any Device

LG seems to have a solution for controlling a smart television with ease. LG Electronics will be the first company to incorporate the AllJoyn open source software framework into its Smart TV platform.

The AllJoyn is developed by Qualcomm, and aims to create a common language that connects the Internet of Things irrespective of the Operating System or the brand.

LG is at the forefront of the device connectivity revolution,” said Richard Choi, Senior Vice President of the Smart Business Center at LG Electronics. “LG will now enable consumers to more effortlessly connect their networked devices in the home and continues to show a strong commitment to the next generation of convergence technology.”

LG will use AllJoyn to allow multiple devices to communicate with LG Smart TVs simultaneously. Several smartphones or tablets, each running a completely different OS or of different brands, can participate in the same multiplayer game on an LG Smart TV.

However, LG has not cleared when this technology will be officially available.

New Leaked HD Images Show Off RIM’s BlackBerry 10 L-Series

    blackberry

For those that are still firmly in the RIM camp, a slew of new high-resolution pictures of the BlackBerry L-Series smartphone were leaked this evening. When it comes to new product leaks, we’re used to being hit with the “blurry cam” treatment. But surprisingly, these images of this Blackberry are high resolution and capture the L-Series from nearly every angle.

It certainly isn’t too terrible as far as looks are concerned, and there’s plenty to discern from the pictures alone: microSD card slot, 1800mAh battery, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, micro USB, HDMI and a teenie-tiny microphone under the BlackBerry logo on the front of the device.

Of course, nothing is confirmed until RIM unveils Blackberry 10 devices on January 30th, 2013. Check out all the pics below.

Well, it seems that leaked hardware specifications of the BlackBerry Aristo have hit the Internet, where it will be part of the BlackBerry 10 dance that is happening real soon.

RIM previously noted that their full touch devices will have a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 (16:9), and the physical keyboard devices will sport a resolution of 720 x720 (1:1). Over the past few months these devices have internally been called the L-Series and the N-Series, but a new A-Series device name has popped up with the codename of “Aristo.” Here’s the quad-core LTE goodness:
