Apple vs Samsung Heats up : new complaint : 17 devices infringe 8 patents.

With the old lawsuit not yet over, Apple has filed a new complaint that attack 18 new Samsung devices. According to Apple the devices infringe 8 patents that are currently owned by Apple.  Four of the patents in question having been granted since the last time Apple filed suit against the Korean firm including missed call management, slide-to-unlock and data-syncing technology.

The devices infringing the patent include the new Galaxy Nexus along with all variants of the Galaxy SII, Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Looks like this battle is going to be a never ending one, or at least till cupertino gets some korean slaves in its undertone.

The device is running a 1.5 GHz processor on a Android 2.3.4 platform, but that could have changed by now.

Ice Cream Sandwich brings an entirely new look and feel to Android. It has a redesigned user interface with improved multi-tasking, notifications, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC support and a full Web browsing experience. This is a major let down especially for those who were on other Samsung devices, hoping to get in on the ICS action. Fear not the developer community is still strong, and almost all devices sporting a processor faster than 650MHz will be able to get a custom developed ICS ROM.

French court denies iPhone 4S sale ban to Samsung

Its like winning and loosing all round, Apple was denied injunction lift suspension and Samsung was denied primary sale ban in France. The french courts yesterday denied Samsung’s request to ban the sales of Apple iPhone 4S in France. The court called the reaction out of proportion with its claims of intellectual property theft and ordered Samsung to pay a fine of €100,000 (about $134,000) to cover Cupertino’s legal fees.

The case is one of many legal battles being waged between Samsung and Apple in the United States, Italy, and several other countries over intellectual property protecting their smartphones.

  • Samsung Plays dirty games to stop iPhone 4S in Aussie Land – Sells Galaxy S2 for $2

Samsung Plays dirty games to stop iPhone 4S in Aussie Land – Sells Galaxy S2 for $2

Have a Hundred rupees ? You can now get a Samsung Galaxy S2 for 2 Dollars (Australian) if you are in Sydney. The line apparently stretches beyond the one at the Apple Store, the first 10 people in line at the store get the device at $2.

Customers queuing outside of Apple’s George Street store in Sydney waiting for Friday’s iPhone 4S launch have reportedly been approached by Samsung representatives, encouraging them to switch queues and stand in line at the Samsung store instead.

Unfortunately for Samsung, it doesn’t seem to be working on most, with student Tom Mosca noting:

There’s this guy who has come up to us trying to convince us to buy the Samsung Galaxy S II two days in a row now. He’s an idiot.

    Oh the dirty Tricks Samsung!

This information comes from the very depths of the Samsung HQ in NCRand packs a punch especially because there is a tad bit of information regarding the pricing on the PMPs.

We got our hands on with the PMP back at the Samsung Forums, check out the video below.

    Spec Sheet

Now here is the awesome part the PMPs are speculated to have the following price : Galaxy Player 4 for 12,500 and Galaxy Player 5 for 15,000 Indian currency. We think that its excellent pricing.

Pricing of the Galaxy 730the MRP remains the same from initial PR  : Tab 730 at INR 33,990 which seems a lot more since the 750 sells for much cheaper than that price.
