Rockstar Gifting $500k In Online Money To Apologize For GTA 5 Online Gameplay Issues

Rockstar Games, developer of the fantastic GTA 5 have often apologised for the technical issues that were involved with GTA Online’s launch. They are now extending that apology and giving gamers who were attempting to play GTA Online since day one 500,000 GTA dollars.

The stimulus package is an “I’m sorry” gift from Rockstar Games for the cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters during the first days of GTA Online.

In order to keep the current worldwide in-game economy balanced, we will be providing this GTA$ to players via two deposits of $250,000. We will announce specific dates as soon as possible, but are currently hoping to be able to make the first deposit by the end of next week (after we’ve confirmed that issues causing game progress loss have been fixed) with the second installment to happen by the end of the month. For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet.

Before receiving your GTA Online cash, though, gamers are instructed to install the upcoming GTAV title update (1.04), which will allow Rockstar Games to provide the GTA$ stimulus cash to players. It will also fix vehicle purchase loss issues, and gamers can expect to see it next week.

There’s a couple of pre-requisites for receiving the cash donation. You need to have logged in and played GTA Online at some point this month (October 2013).

Grand Theft Auto 5 Makes More Than $1 Billion in First Three Days

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. today announced that Grand Theft Auto V, the latest release from the GTA series, has achieved worldwide retail sales of more than $1 billion during its first three days on sale, according to Company estimates. Take-Two Interactive Software company owns Rockstar Games, maker for the best selling video game till now, they believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone.

Grand Theft Auto V collectors edition will be available Sept 17 for $80 and $150 (PR)

Rockstar Games has let it come to light that the GTA V collector edition will be available in two bundles, the $80 version will include the physical game, artbook, and a blueprint map, alongside in-game ability boosts, stunt plane trials, bonus outfits and weapons.

For a price of US $150, and you’ll also get a branded security deposit bag, logo key, cap and even more extra content in-game. If you preorder the standard version of GTA 5, an Atomic Blimp bonus vehicle is included in the package, when all the editions come to market on September 17.
