Sony Ericsson’s Canadian Online store Hacked, Sony in the Crosshair

Sony has been targeted by Hackers yet again. In the biggest attack against an organization, hackers all over the world are taking revenge for their rights with Sony. After several attacks including PSN, SONY BMG, and even a service all owned by Sony, This time its Sony Ericsson’s Canadian Online store and the intrusion extracted personal data of more than 2,000 Canadian Eshop customers.

According to SE the passwords taken were encrypted and no credit card details were lost. Hopefully SONY will tighten its security post these attack making it one of the most secure Company with online presence.

On Tuesday, security firm Sophos said Sony Music Japan suffered the same fate — with hackers exploiting a system vulnerability and posting such taunts as “stupid Sony, so very stupid” inside the data they made available online.

And while the series of attacks suggest Sony has more work to do securing its networks Phil Lieberman, CEO of online security consulting firm Lieberman Software, said it is also the price Sony is paying for its hard-line approach to the hacking community.

The newest nightly builds of the CyanogenMod custom ROM include a clever patch allowing users to grant and revoke permissions individually for apps that request access to features that you wouldn’t necessarily want them to. NOW : Sony BMG Greece hacked

Sony is crying foul, with repeated attems at breaking its security have come into light, Several PSN attacks and other subsidiary attacks later. Now, Sony BMG in Greece is the next target. An anonymous poster has uploaded a user database to pastebin.com, including the usernames, real names and email addresses of users registered on SonyMusic.gr.

If you are a user of SonyMusic.gr, it is highly recommended that you reset your password. Expect that any information you entered when creating your account may be in the hands of someone with malicious intent, and keep a close eye out for phishing attacks

Untethered Jailbreak released for iOS 4.3.2, iPhone 4 still tethered

The latest version of iOS 4.3.2 was released by Apple just days after the jailbreak for the iOS 4.3.1 came out. But, in an exciting turn of events looks like the newest version is still vulnerable to i0n1c’s untethered jailbreak method. Although a lot of failures occurred and the Dev-Team decided to pull the iPhone 4 jailbreak from redsn0w, leaving iPhone 4 users to rely on a tethered jailbreak, atleast till i0n1c has a chance to fix the venerability patch for iPhone 4.

Untethered Jailbreak for all iDevices on 4.2.1 out now : Greenpois0n

The Chronic-Dev team has delivered. Those waiting for a unthetered solution to the jailbreak of version 4.2.1 on their iOS devices can breathe a sigh of relief.

Also note if you want to unlock the device don’t update to 4.2.1 just as yet.

HTC HD2 can now dual-boot Windows Phone 7 and Android

If you have the HD2 you might be quite aware that both Windows phone 7 and Android can be easily ported to the device. But, developers have successfully managed to dual boot the two OSs from the same SD card.

Hackers install a Windows Phone 7 rom on a HTC HD2 + Video

Hackers have finally managed to get Windows Phone 7 working on the HD2. This new rom has just been released by DFT (Dark Forces Team).

If you’re an HD2 owner just aching for a taste of Microsoft’s newest OS then now’s your chance. Video of the ROM in action after the break. Along with a video and instructions showing hacked access to Live services has now been posted. See the proof below.
