The Swatch Group has claimed that it has built the world’s smallest Bluetooth chip. The minuscule integrated circuit, which has been designed by EM Microelectronic, Swatch Group R & D and the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM), has an area of 5-millimeter square. The small surface, however, is embedded with as many as five million transmitters.
Apart from claiming that it is the smallest Bluetooth chip ever made, Swatch also claims that the chip consumes the lowest energy and has the highest start-up speed capabilities in comparison to others.
