Micromax Canvas Ego A113 Now Available Online

Micromax is trying hard to win the smartphone market in India by providing its smartphones in all price ranges for the consumer. After the recent high end devices like Canvas 4 and Doodle 2, Micromax is set to launch a new mid-range device which is the Canvas Ego A113.

The Micromax Canvas Ego A113 sports a 4.7-inch display. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device comes with a 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card. Canvas Ego has a 8 MP rear camera with an LED flash while there is no word about the front-facing camera on the online retailer’s listing. The Micromax Canvas Ego runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is a dual-SIM phone with support for GSM+GSM. It also powered by a 2000 mAh battery. Micromax Canvas Ego A113 is not yet announced officially but is available on Snapdeal. The box would include some standard stuff like Charger, Headset, Data Cable, Battery, Handset, User Manual and Warranty Card.

Acer Unveils ‘Liquid S2’ with 4K Video Recording Capabilities

Acer seems to have taken a different approach to big-sized phones. The first attempt by the company was the 5.7-inch Liquid S1, an Android handset unveiled back in June, but this time the company is said to announce the 6-inch Liquid S2 with 4K video recording capability, a full HD IPS display and a Snapdragon 800 processor.

Acer is claims the S2 as the first phone to offer this 4K functionality. The device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP front camera capable of 1080p video. The company has also loaded up the S2 with some features like a “quick first shot” feature that lets you take a picture right from the phone’s unlock screen.

Though 4K recording is clearly the phone’s prominent feature, other specs include a Snapdragon 800 chipset, which is clocked at 2.2GHz and supported by 2GB of RAM, and the battery is 3,300 mAh.

Acer will sell this handset in Europe, no plans for India yet. The Liquid S2 is said to be available at the end of October, pricing and exact availability information is yet to to be disclosed.

HTC Desire 600c Dual-SIM Seen On Company’s Website with CDMA Support

Not very long ago HTC launched its new phone Desire 600, and now the company is ready to launch the new variant of this phone which is the Desire 600c. While the Desire 600 supported Dual SIM (GSM and GSM), the Desire 600c supports dual-SIM (GSM and CDMA). The handset is already listed on HTC’s official website.

The HTC Desire 600c features a 4.5-inch qHD display. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The HTC Desire 600c dual-SIM has a 8 MP rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and a 1.6 MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor. The phone is also capable of 720p video recording. The HTC Desire 600c dual-SIM weighs 127 grams and features dual front stereo speakers with built in amplifiers. The phone is powered by a 1860 mAh battery which is similar to the the Desire 600c.

The HTC Desire 600c dual-SIM is a bit different from its predecessor. Though the device almost have the same specifications, it is not identical in design. The HTC Desire 600c dual SIM is a CDMA variant and supports GSM+CDMA networks. The phone runs Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense, BlinkFeed and other features. As per the images the phone will be available in two colors Black and white.

Pricing and availability has not been confirmed, but the pricing should be around the price tag of the HTC Desire 600 which is INR 26,000.

Logitech Introduces Ultrathin Touch Mouse

A portable mouse is a good idea, isn’t it ? but most of the available ones are bulky, which can be a problem when you want to put them in a slim bag with laptop.

Logitech has launched a new Ultrathin touch mouse to solve this problem and is available for $70. The device features an ultra-thin design with a smooth top for touch gestures. A switch on the mouse lets you change between two bluetooth connected devices, and a one-minute charge over USB gives it enough power to last about one hour. The Ultrathin Touch Mouse will be available in black and white colors.

This should be easy to carry and should go well with your gear especially if you own any Apple laptops.

Swipe Telecom has launched yet another device after the MTV Slash, the Swipe MTV Slate is the latest product from Swipe and has been launched for 14,999 Rupees.

The Swipe MTV Slate has a 7.85-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and weighs 400 grams which is more comparing other tablets of same size. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MTK 8389 with 1 GB of RAM. The device has a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. It packs 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. The tablet comes with SIM card support with voice calling capability.

Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. The device also includes a 3200mAh battery.

Samsung launches 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 Kids edition

Samsung has announced Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, a tablet specifically designed for children. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will come preloaded with educational and fun apps for kids and an all new Kid’s Store.

“It’s no secret that kids are using technology more than ever before,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics. “We saw an opportunity to create a device just for kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user experience filled with rich, interactive and educational content that parents will love.”

The tablet has a 7-inch screen with 1024×600 pixel resolution and runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It has 1 GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB. The tablet has a dual cameras, the camera in the front is 1.3 MP and the back is 3 MP. Tab 3 Kids runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 4,000mAh battery.

Galaxy Tab 3 Kids includes a Time Management feature that will allow parents to set specific time period for use, once the set period is up, a password protected lock screen will appear, requiring a parent or an adult to enter the password to unlock the device. This tool is aimed at restricting the time children spend on the device. The device is available in yellow color and weighs 302 grams.

The tablet also has a kids case featuring a child-friendly grip and multiple stand options. The case also comes equipped with an easy-to-grip C Pen. Pricing is not available yet. The specs of this device may not mean anything to a kid, but can be useful for the buyers before they gift it to the naughty ones. This seems like a good initiative from Samsung.

Gionee Launches The Gionee P2 : A Budget Android Smartphone

Gionee has launched yet another phone in the Indian market which is said to be available for 6500 INR.

The Gionee P2 features a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The device is equipped with a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex A7 MediaTek 6572 processor which is further paired with 512MB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU.

The Gionee P2 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It comes with 4GB of internal storage that can also be expanded up to 32GB. This device has a 5-megapixel rear camera with a LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The rear camera includes options like face detection, touch to focus, Panorama, face beauty, gesture & smile shot and can also record HD videos.

The device supports dual SIM. It is also powered with a 1700mAh battery. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GPS, Digital Compass, Light Sensor, Face Unlock and Game Zone. This device is available at a few websites online and is available in two color variants: Black and White.

Epic Monday Treat : Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 A240 Unboxing

Micromax is all set to launch its new flagship smartphone the Micromax A240 Canvas Doodle 2, the phone is a revision of the original doodle which created a new pen/stylus+ phone category for the company. The new Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 has a Aluminum back with a unibody chassis and a matching two tip stylus.

The two major highlighting factors of the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 are the 5.7 inch 1280 x 720p inch display and the cameras, a 12 MP out back and a 5 mp in the front. A few things users may not like are the non replaceable battery and the non expandable storage which is fixed at a 16 GB out of which 12.64 + 0.98 GB are user available. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 is powered by a 2800 mAh battery pack and runs the Mediatek 6589 Quad Core 1.2 GHz chipset with the PowerVR SGX544MP GPU, which might create a bit of stir.

The device fits beautifully in the hands and is really convenient to hold, the stylus is ergonomically for both tiny and large hands thanks to the oval-ish design which creates two differential holding points. The two tips on either side of the stylus also offer two levels of firmness which might be appreciated by artists and doodlers alike.

The Doodle 2 is fairly pocketable too, considering its size it actually fits quite well into pockets, this could also be due to the 9.3mm thickness vs the 10+ on the previous version (although the tapered edges help too.). In the box there is a usual mix up of things, a flat cable charging cable, a flat cable set of earphones + ear tips, the USB wall charger, a flip case that also converts into a stand and documentation.

When compared to the Galaxy Mega 5.8 by Samsung the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 misses the MicroSD card Slot and also a customized UI that offers additional features, the Canvas Doodle 2 however has a higher resolution display a better build quality and bigger MP cameras .

Xbox One At Gamescom 2013

Xbox One claims a new generation of gaming and entertainment and to push the boundaries of realism. With Xbox One, you can quickly jump from TV to movies to music to a game. Just with the sound of your voice says Microsoft.

Xbox One is said to be the perfect balance of power and performance. In addition to Xbox One’s architecture, the combination of its CPU, GPU and ESRAM is made to give users the best experience like having a supercomputer in your living room claims the company.

There’s been 50 games announced for the console so far, 23 of which will be available at launch. The other ones includes titles like Watch Dogs, Dead Rising 3, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Killer Instinct and Ryse: Son of Rome.

Few more include games from Electronic Arts(EA), 2014 editions of Madden, NBA Live and FIFA. For starters, EA has confirmed that you’ll be able to carry over a season from current-generation consoles to next-generation and Microsoft has announced that all consoles pre-ordered in Europe will include a free copy of the game.

Xbox One consoles require the Kinect motion controller to be plugged in at all times. However, that’s not deterring the company’s plans to keep the Kinect a mandatory addition to any future console bundles.

“Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems. An Xbox One has chips, it has memory, it has Blu-ray, it has Kinect, it has a controller. These are all part of the platform ecosystem,” Phil Harrison, a Microsoft corporate vice president said in response to a question on whether or not the Xbox One will ever be sold without the Kinect.

Asphalt 8: Airborne, the newest addition to the popular racing game series has been released with universal compatibility for both Android and iOS devices. The game features a brand new engine and includes 47 selectable cars with 37 new cars making an appearance. The game also places an emphasis on verticality with ramps and air stunts, and contains nine different locations for tracks.

The game’s focus is arcade style, objective based races compared to more simulation oriented game such as Real Racing 3. Players earn awards based on a variety of objectives in-game such as narrowly missing cars, performing stunts mid-air or causing the opposition to wreck. While each of these eventually earn small amounts of currency at the conclusion of the race, the most important they earn nitro in-game.

All New Pajero Sport Anniversary Edition Launched

Hindustan Motors and Mitsubishi together have launched the Anniversary Edition of the Pajero Sport, in the occasion of completing one year of the SUV’s launch in India. The Pajero Sport Anniversary Edition model comes with a few additional features like Touchscreen audio system with GPS navigation, Reverse parking camera, Body colored bumper with a rear spoiler and the anniversary edition decal.

Everything apart from those additional tweaks remains the same, like the 2.5 liter turbo diesel engine that gives 178 of excessive power and 400 Nm of peak torque. Pajero runs with 5 speed manual transmission and an option for 4WD.

iBall has been expanding its tablet range by introducing tablets in its Edu-Slide and Performance range. The i9018 is an addition to the Performance range of tablets that already has 6 tablets in the portfolio.

The iBall i9018 features a 9-inch HD display with a 1024×600 pixels resolution.
