    Still wishing for Tegra 3 ? Tegra 4 coming Q1 2013

    While some are still waiting for their fix of quad core goodness of Tegra 3, it seems that the hardware is already old news.  Reportedly leaked Tegra 4 details and the NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang saying that “A new Tegra every year” means that 2013 will see face of a newer more powerful Tegra Chipset. The new chipsets will  be major designed for 10 inch tablets. The Tegra 4 will come in four variants, three with a quad-core ARM Cortex A15 configuration, with clock speeds from 1.2 to 2.0GHz. 

    The Fourth one seems to be a budget SP3X variant based on A9, designed for 7inch tabs, it will also add high speed LTE.

    Looks like the 2GHZ chips might just arrive in time for those 2 Ghz Smart phones.

    PCI Express Cables will do 32Gbps in 2013

    PCI Special Interest Group has just held its annual meeting and developer conference in California, where plans for a 32Gbps PCIe cable were revealed. The connecters are said to be be flast wires made completely out of copper and will have speed to distance ratio of 32Gbps up to 10 feet or 3m approx. This standard will be called the PCI 3.0 and will be available late 2013.

    The PCI 4.0 details were not mentioned , but the information that the launch is 4 years away was let out.

    Nokia’s Win Phone 7 Devices will come with ST-Ericsson U8500 Chipsets

    According to Forbes, Nokia will use ST-Ericsson hardware to power at least some of its Windows Phones. The U8500 chipset is a Nokia loved dual core processor which will be housed within Windows Phone 7 handsets out of Nokia’s Stable.

    According to several other reports the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset might also be one of the first few chipsets to be used by Nokia, Quickly to be followed by ST-U8500 for its powerhouse WP7 lineup in 2012-13.

    Re: Wii’s Successor System

    Nintendo Co., Ltd. has decided to launch in 2012 a system to succeed Wii, which the company has sold 86.01 million units on a consolidated shipment basis between its launch in 2006 and the end of March 2011.

    We will show a playable model of the new system and announce more specifications at the E3 Expo, which will be held June 7-9, 2011, in Los Angeles.

    Sales of this new system have not been included in the financial forecasts announced today for the fiscal term ending March 2012.

    Maeli Business Newspaper reports “a high-ranking” company official has disclosed that Samsung plans to release a 2 Ghz phone latest by next year. But, remember that 2 Ghz is a total of 2 x 2Ghz cores not 1Ghz cores. According to the report Samsung also plans to sell the chips to other manufacturers, so that you can enjoy boosted performance in your favorite brand.

    Marc Driessen, Nokia Benelux product manager has let out some details on the unannounced updates that Nokia will be offering to Symbian Lovers. Talks about a symbian revamp have been going on for quite some time now, but now the companys own people are spilling the juicy details. According to Driessen, Nokia is targeting a major UI overhaul in the fall, an update rumored to include

    • dedicated pull-down status bar up top
    • new iconography
    • new flexible widgets
    • simplified navigation bar
    • better menus

    Any of those sound familiar to the “rejected by Nokia” OS?

    It is also Rumored that that N8 and E7 will get this update faster than others, possibly by Summer 2011.
