  • Shantanu Narayen Claims Adobe-Apple Fight is over : Time to Move On!

Adobe’s CEO, Shantanu Narayen said that Adobe’s problems with Apple, which were a result of Cupertino’s decision to omit support for Flash in its products, are over.

“Yes, the argument is over from our point of view,” Narayen said. “We are so excited about opportunities we have. We’re focused on that.”“At the end of the day, where Adobe makes its money is through our application tools, as well as our solutions, (and) being able to make that content and measure that content and manage that content,”

He also talks about Adobe’s achievements with the Blackberry PlayBook, But has really no answer to the poor performance of the Flash content on the Android Platform.

Apple iPad 2 event set for March 2nd

Apple will hold its much-anticipated event on March 2, where the tech giant seems poised to unveil a new version of its hugely successful iPad, according to multiple sources. Analysts expect the iPad 2 to be thinner than its predecessor and feature an improved display will be powered by one of Qualcomm’s multimode chips and will run on both GSM and CDMA-based networks around the world.

Now, there are two things that question us :

a: will the iPad 2 deliver on expectations?

b: Will Steve jobs be there to launch it? (since, he is on leave for health issues)

  • Steve Jobs takes leave of absence for Medical reasons – Assigns Tim to take over.

Steve Jobs takes leave of absence for Medical reasons – Assigns Tim to take over.

This may not be technology news, But, he is our favorite CEO. This time around a memo from Steve states that he will be taking leave of absence to “focus on his health”. read the full memo below.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs today sent the following email to all Apple employees:

    Team,

At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.

I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple’s day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.

I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.

    Steve

It’s unclear whether this leave of absence is related to his 2009 liver transplant or his earlier battles with pancreatic cancer. Here is hoping that he is fit and well soon enough , else the new iPad 2 launch may not be as exciting as we would want it to be.
