Leica Sofort Wants to Make Instant Photos Popular Again For $299

Leica has launched a new camera called the Leica Sofort, an instant camera that aims to bring back the fun of instant photography.

The concept is pretty similar to the Fujifilm Instax cameras, in fact the Sofort uses Fujifilm’s Instax film to produce prints immediately.

You get a bunch of shooting modes, standard auto, party, people, sport, action, and macro along with multi exposure just like the Instax cameras. The Cameras are available in three colors; White, Orange and Mint Green, and will go on sale later this year for $299 or roughly Rs. 20,000 almost double the price of regular install cameras from Fujifilm.

The equipment will be the cheapest kit Leica will sell presently and if that orange color does invoke the hipster in you. Should Instagram be worried, probably not, but enthusiasts will be excited, as are we.
