Nokia has officially announced and Launched the new Nokia x1-01 as a part of the series of dual sim phones,as promised by Stephen Elop during the MS- NOKIA announcement. Nokia has officially announced and Launched the new Nokia C2 as a part of the series of dual sim phones,as promised by Stephen Elop during the MS- NOKIA announcement. With the target firmly set in the developing world, the Nokia C2 offers the possibility of having one handset running two SIM cards simultaneously.
The Nokia C2 can keep both SIM cards active; meaning calls and text messages can come to either number while the phone is on. The first SIM card on the Nokia C2 sits underneath the battery. The second SIM card is ‘hot-swappable’, a feature unique to Nokia, meaning it can be removed and inserted when the phone is on. The fact that the new Nokia C2 will allow you to answer one call and keep the other on hold is great news.

You are probably complaining of the poor battery life! SO were we.
But iGyaan has found a quick fix for all your woes. It seems that something in the devices is causing the chipset to overheat and cause the battery to drain. Sometimes enough to drain the battery in a few hours of NON-USE.
So here is what you need to do ( incase you didn’t already know)
But we found that the above steps, may improve battery life, but do not improve it to an extent where the device is still usable. And a simple uncheck helped us resolve this predicament.
Go to Settings < Wireless And Networks < Mobile Networks
And turn of Cellular data / Phone data / Mobile data ( whatever it is called on your device)
You will see a 10x improvement in battery life to say the least. And guess what ? No more overheating of the device. We found that the processor and chipset are constantly struggling to maintain a connection with the IP provided by the cellular network. In India the Cellular data is not stable and hence causes a change in IP every few minutes, Causing the device to go into a constant loop to resolve itself on the network. Hence leading to processor overload and battery drain.
Please tell us if turning data off improved your battery life. We tested with several devices and were quite happy with the results.
If you use cellular data often you can place a quick widget on the home screen which will toggle Cellular data when you need it.
Twitter has finalized its purchase of TweetDeck in a $40 million cash and stock deal. Although both Twitter and TweetDeck Refuse to comment on the same. Twitter has been known to either downplay third-party apps or acquire them. In the past, Twitter has scooped up popular Twitter iPhone app Tweetie, and partnered with photo add-on TwitPic as it launched its new interface.
In February, reports surfaced that UberMedia, the leading developer of apps and Web-based services for Twitter users and other social media platforms, was in talks to purchase Tweetdeck.

Sony has been targeted by Hackers yet again. In the biggest attack against an organization, hackers all over the world are taking revenge for their rights with Sony. On Tuesday, security firm Sophos said Sony Music Japan suffered the same fate — with hackers exploiting a system vulnerability and posting such taunts as “stupid Sony, so very stupid” inside the data they made available online.
And while the series of attacks suggest Sony has more work to do securing its networks Phil Lieberman, CEO of online security consulting firm Lieberman Software, said it is also the price Sony is paying for its hard-line approach to the hacking community.

Communications: Easier to Connect and Share

Strengthening the Ecosystem

The Company is yet to confirm its plans for Windows 8 Operating System, But Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said at the company’s developer forum in Japan, That “next generation of Windows systems” will be coming out next year, and that “there’s a whole lot more coming,” including “slates, tablets, PCs, a variety of different form factors.” – According to a Winrumors report Microsoft may demo the new Windows 8 Tablet UI at the D9 conference later next week.
