UC Browser For iPad Gets Updated With New Features

UC Browser updates its application for iPad users in order to enhance the user experience. Not very long ago, the company updated the Android version to 9.4 adding great speeds and now the UC Browser+ HD 2.3 brings new features to the iPad.

The latest update for iPad brings in features like Social Links and an upgraded Floating Video Player. These new features are added by the company to ease user’s social life, and to give them a different online video playing experience. The Social Links feature fetches posts in all of the users social streams that contain url links from popular social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and displays them in a pop-up widget.

One of the other features added in the update is the Floating Video Player which allows users to play videos in full screen or in an adjustable window that can be placed anywhere for viewing. Furthermore, the browser comes with multiple wallpaper options which can help users to personalize according to the mood.

Whereas, there are few features that can are user friendly and useful in daily routine like the Gesture control feature and the inbuilt Evernote feature.

Google Voice Search Will Now Speak French, German and Japanese on Android and iOS

Google voice search has improved with time for its voice recognition capabilities. Google voice is successful to recognize the universal language ‘English’ very well, specially with different accents of people all around the globe.

In the journey to improve the voice search, Google has expanded the voice recognition capabilities of its voice search by adding new languages to it. Which means, Google voice search will not be limited to English and will now speak languages like French, German and Japanese.

This new add on will recognize any of these languages and reply back accordingly. It is not clear when Google will add other languages but it seems Google has already started the journey. Apple: 74% of App Store Users Are Using iOS 7

Three months back, Apple launched its latest OS – iOS 7 in the market. Ever since then, users have treated the iOS 7 with mix reactions, as for some it is improved and for some it lags and freezes.

Despite of the mixed reactions from users, the iOS 7 is now on 74% of Apple devices registered in the App Store. Apple has mentioned this on its developer page. This is a 10% increase in iOS 7 users from the month of October. Coincidentally, Google also announced that in just a month of release, 1.1% of Android users are on KitKat OS.

However, alongside the iOS 7 other iOS versions are still in use. As per the report from Apple, 22% of users in the App Store are still on iOS 6 and 4% users are still on older versions of iOS. The rest 26% might want to know what is iOS 7 all about from the video below:

LG’s AllJoyn Support Will Enable Smart TV Control From Any Device

LG seems to have a solution for controlling a smart television with ease. LG Electronics will be the first company to incorporate the AllJoyn open source software framework into its Smart TV platform.

The AllJoyn is developed by Qualcomm, and aims to create a common language that connects the Internet of Things irrespective of the Operating System or the brand.

LG is at the forefront of the device connectivity revolution,” said Richard Choi, Senior Vice President of the Smart Business Center at LG Electronics. “LG will now enable consumers to more effortlessly connect their networked devices in the home and continues to show a strong commitment to the next generation of convergence technology.”

LG will use AllJoyn to allow multiple devices to communicate with LG Smart TVs simultaneously. Several smartphones or tablets, each running a completely different OS or of different brands, can participate in the same multiplayer game on an LG Smart TV.

However, LG has not cleared when this technology will be officially available.

Official FIFA iOS And Android Apps Launch

Football’s international governing body FIFA has released a free app for iOS and Android that lets you follow your favorite teams and keep up to date with FIFA news and events.

Users can also access match schedules, scores, destination guides and team profiles, as well as personalise their World Match Centre with national teams, competitions, and clubs.

“Download the most comprehensive football app on the planet and unlock the world of football,” says FIFA. “Hundreds of competitions, thousands of goals and over a million minutes of football every single week.”

In addition, football fans can see video from the FIFA TV Studio and FIFA archive. The free app is compatible with iPhones using iOS 5.1 or higher, the iPad, and Android smartphones and tablets using version 2.3 and up.

Google+ Update On iOS Now Gets Full Resolution Photos and Dedicated Search Box

The Google+ app for iOS has been updated, and finally brings some long missing features. The new update for Google+ adds features like full size backup of your photos and more.

The version 4.6 update for Google+ on iOS now alos lets users to upload images and videos at its original resolution, as long as there is enough cloud storage. Search For Stories, Videos or Pictures With The New Twitter App Update on Android & iOS

Twitter has added new search features to its Apps on Android and iOS, which will help users discover the content they are looking for.

With the updated apps Twitter offers options to search for pictures, videos, or news stories. Previously, users were only able to search through usernames, tweets and hashtags. If you want to see photos, use the photo search filter to see Tweets with photos in a grid or list layout. To see what your friends are saying, you can filter the results to show only Tweets from the people you follow. Users can now also filter for videos in the same way.

Facebook’s New Messenger App to Reach More Users On Android and iOS

Facebook announced a while back that it will be testing new messenger app for its users, now with time users will be able to see the change for Facebook’s Messaging application.

The new version of the messenger app reached few Android devices a day back and the company has claimed that the app will also reach iOS devices as well. Facebook is no new to updates, but this time around it seems that Facebook has made some necessary changes to the messenger app. The new app is said to be faster while swiping to switch between conversations, users will now know which friends are using the app if you see the Messenger icon –displayed at the extreme left-– next to their name. If you see the Messenger icon, that means your friend is also using the mobile Messenger app, and will get notified instantly about your message.

New Update For Viber Brings Push To Talk and More For Android and iOS

Viber recently announced some new updates for Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices as well, the company also announced a new update for the application on Android and iOS platforms.

Google Maps With Indoor Mapping For iOS and Android Now Available in India

Google’s indoor maps was launched some time back, but was not available in India. However, what we noticed now is that Google indoor maps is now available in both the platforms Android and iOS.

Google added this feature to Maps in the month of July 2013, but as said before it never made its way to India. iGyaan discovered that the Google Indoor maps is now available in India, for instance users can search for any store in the mall you are in and the application will guide you the floor and the way towards it. Now You Can Edit and Work on Multiple Posts With Vine

Vine introduced some new additions, Sessions and Time Travel. Vine claims with these new features, you can maintain multiple posts in progress over time and edit your posts before you share them.

Sessions: Tap the new icon in the bottom right corner of your camera to save a new session or open an existing one. Save any post and come back to it later, it can work on up to ten posts at a time.

Time Travel: Tap the green bar from the camera while you’re shooting, or tap ‘Edit’ when you’re previewing a post. With this users can remove, reorganize or replace any shot within a post before its even shared.

Apple launches new versions of iLife and iWork

Apple unveiled new versions of iPhoto, iMovie and Garage Band, with fresh software for both iOS and OS X Mavericks. Following along the clean lines of iOS 7 the new apps will have a stripped down design but will feature more performance and versatility. The new set of iLife programs are 64-bit . iPhoto now allows you to create PhotoBooks on the iPad. iMovie now lets you play around with speeds of your video, and if you’re on iOS, you can do picture-in-picture as well which was a sought after feature.

iMovie Theater,allows you to watch all of your videos on any device like the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV as long as your movies are stored in iCloud.

The iOS version of the GarageBand app now supports up to 16 tracks, which is double the current limit of 8. There’s also a new feature called Drummer which gives you an assortment of different drum profiles and live playability.All new Mac’s will come with Garage Band installed with most of the kits and profiles, more can be bought via in-app purchases.

For iWork Apple promises all-new design on mobile and a total re-write of the desktop versions, full file compatibility across devices and platforms, plus the ability to collaborate with others on Pages, Keynote and Numbers using iWork for iCloud.
