    Honor 6 Plus Launches with a Bang; Features Bullet Proof Back and Bionic Parallel Dual-Lens Camera

    The past couple of days, Honor had been relentlessly teasing its two upcoming smartphones. However it wasn’t a well kept secret that the Chinese company was coming to town with the Honor 6 Plus. Now, the firm has officially raised the curtains and presented before us the new Honor 6 Plus, along with the Honor 4X. The former one is a 4G version and has been priced at Rs. 26,499.

    Coming to the specs of the Honor 6 Plus, the company claims it to be a competitor of the iPhone 6 Plus. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display with 401 ppi pixel density. The device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core (quad-core Cortex-A15+quad-core Cortex-A7) processor paired with Mali-T628 GPU, paired with 3GB of RAM. Honor 6 Plus has 32GB of onboard storage space, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4.4 with Emotion UI 3.0 on top.

    The camera specifications of the 6 Plus is what makes it stand out. It is the first phone to house an 8MP rear shooter with bionic parallel dual lens. It helps in focusing on the subject faster – within 0.1 seconds – and records the depth information for panoramic viewing. The front boasts an 8MP camera with BSI sensor, which is perfect for the selfie lovers. Along with that, the camera offers many other innovative enhancements.

    A mammoth battery of 3600mAh is fitted onto the device. The company claims that the battery can last for 1.25 days of heavy usage once charger completely. For those who perform the standard tasks of calling and texting, the phone battery can last for almost three days. Besides this, the company stated that the Honor 6 Plus features 2-way charging. So you can charge other devices with its battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

    Meanwhile, willing buyers will have to wait a while before getting their hands on the device. As per the company, Honor 6 Plus will be available sometime in April.

    Besides launching the bigger Honor 6 Plus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer unveiled a new offering called the ‘Honor 4X’ The smartphone grabs a space in the overcrowded category of budget smartphones. The handset can be purchased at the price of Rs. 10,499. It goes for pre-order on March 29 midnight, while the flash sale will take place on March 30 at 2PM

    The new Honor 4X boasts a 5.5-inch 720p IPS LCD touchscreen display. A 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor bundled with 2GB of RAM. The Dual SIM phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Huawei’s Emotion 3.0 user interface on top.

    Optics of the 4X include a 13 MP rear camera with the latest BSI sensor from Sony, autofocus and LED flash, along with a 5MP selfie cam. In terms of memory, it stuffs 8GB of internal memory space expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot. While juicing up the smartphone is a massive 3000mAh battery unit. The phone packs a smart power saving system, which extends the battery life of the device up to 7 days.

    Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, MicroUSB, and GPS. The company claims that the 4X will support 150Mbps super-fast connection of 4G network. The handset comes in two colour options – White and Gold. The most amazing thing that the company has come out with is that the 4X along with Honor 6 Plus is bullet proof. At the launch they also showcased a video proving the same.

    One can grab the accessories like leather cases, headphones and others on Flipkart.com. The company claims that users will be getting monthly OTA updates every month for six month, which will then be followed by quarterly updates. Honor is also offering free screen replacement for the first month. The warranty won’t be void even if the device has been rooted.

    Huawei Brings Out Metal-Clad Honor Tablet T1 and Honor 6 Smartphone in India

    Huawei has introduced two new devices, the Honor 6 smartphone and Honor T1 tablet in India priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively. The budget-friendly tablet and slightly-pricey smartphone will be sold exclusively through Flipkart 6th October onwards.

    The Huawei Honor 6 runs on Android 4.2.2 KitKat with Emotion 2.3 UI and is powered by a Huawei Kirin 920 octa-core processor and comes with 3GB RAM. Huawei Honor 6 sports a 5-inch full-HD display (1920x1080p, 440ppi) with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with a 3,100mAh battery.

    The Honor 6 smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage variants and a microSD card slot (supports cards up to 64GB). In terms of connectivity options, the Huawei Honor 6 supports 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.

    The MediaPad Honor T1 tablet sports an 8-inch HD IPS display. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, the tablet comes with 8GB storage. It sports a 5MP rear camera and comes with a 4,800mAh battery. The tablet runs Android 4.3 with Huawei’s Emotion UI.

    Last week, Huawei had also launched the Honor 4 Play smartphone priced at approximately Rs. 7,900. The Honor 4 Play smartphone offers dual-SIM support and features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720×1280 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat paired with its native Emotion UI 2.3.

    The Honor 4 Play features a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU (320MHz) and 1GB of RAM.
