Acer C720 Chromebook Will Be Available Starting Today Priced at 22999 INR

The Acer C720 Chromebook was launched last week by Acer, and will now be available in Mumbai and Delhi from 17^th October onwards. The Chromebook is mainly targeted at consumers in the home and education segment, the device boots in less than 7 seconds and comes with a matte anti-glare display, this is what the company claims.

The battery on the Chromebook runs for upto 8.5 hours, and the C720 also features a 2 GB DDR3 RAM. The Acer C720 Chromebook keeps data safe when the device is used by multiple users, such as for collaboration in the classroom and for projects for home, school or work. The device features a 16 GB SSD out of which 10 GB is user available and users get a 100 GB storage on Google Drive, for which the company claims will protects files, documents, and photos safely in the cloud, and ensures that the most current version is always available. Users will also be able to access files offline, and even open and edit MS Office documents as well as Google Documents.

The Acer C720 includes a full-sized keyboard, and the device weighs 1.25 kg. The Chromebook Acer C720 features a 29.5 cms (11.6 inches) ComfyView™ HD display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The Acer C720 also have an integrated HD webcam. The Acer C720 can connect to various electronics devices such as camcorders, digital cameras and smart phones via USB 3.0 port as well as a USB 2.0 port. The device also has an HDMI port for pushing video and content to external displays and HDTVs. The Chromebook also features a SD card slot.

Nikon Launches New DSLR, D5300 With Built in Connectivity Options(WiFi)

Nikon is introducing its first DSLR with built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, the D5300 is the update to the previously available D5200 and will take its place as Nikon’s top most camera for the beginner DSLR users.

The D5300 features some important updates from what we saw on the D5200 like a larger 3.2-inch rotatable display, a new image-processing engine and no low-pass filter on the camera’s DX-format sensor, which should result in sharper images, claims Nikon. Having said that, this camera replaces the D5200, adding a new 24.2-megapixel sensor without an optical low-pass filter, an EXPEED 4 processor for 1080/60p video and 5 fps stills and increased battery life, allows photography lovers to take 700 shots in a single charge, compared to 500 with the previous D5200.

Users can pair with Nikon’s Wireless Mobile Utility app for both Android and iOS, which allows to shoot from a smartphone or tablet and transfer images as well. However, the camera’s weight has also been reduced to 530 grams. The D5300 is expected to hit stores later this month in black, red and grey for $1,400 with an 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens or $800 body-only.

Panasonic Unveils T31 a Budget Android Smartphone Priced at 7990 INR

Panasonic has launched a new budget Android smartphone in India, the T31 is priced at 7,990 INR. The device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and come in the budget phone category.

The Panasonic T31 sports a 4 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is powered by 1.3 GHz dual core processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable upto 32 GB. The device features a 3.2 MP rear camera, and also has a VGA front-facing camera. It is a dual-SIM smartphone with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS and 3G. T31 also packs a 1300 mAh battery.

The smartphone measures 122 x 64.4 x 11.95 mm and weighs 120 grams. The Panasonic T31 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is available in Bluish Black and Pure White colour variants.

The much awaited cameras from Sony are now official, Sony’s new a7 and a7R digital cameras are full-frame interchangeable lens models.The company claims that these two cameras are the smallest full frame mirrorless cameras in the world and offer an unmatched combination of creativity, customizability and portability.

a7R Camera:

The camera has a 36.4 effective megapixel full frame sensor and no optical low pass filter, ensuring that the extraordinary resolving power is fully realized and resulting in an unprecedented level of detail and clarity in images. The camera features a new AF technology that delivers blazingly quick, accurate autofocus. Additionally, there are a total of three selectable sizes for the Flexible Spot AF frame, minimizing the risk of accidentally focusing on the wrong target.

Sources are claiming also a 64 GB variant, which seems unlikely if we are going to get a microSD slot as well.

The device is expected to sport a 3400 mAh battery and run on Windows Phone 8.1 OS, Lumia 1520 is rumored to feature a 20.7 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, improved Panorama and optical image stabilization. Xolo have secretly introduced a successor of its Q700, the Q700i has now been listed online on Flipkart for 11,999 INR. The Xolo Q700i is currently available on the online retailer, however, Xolo has not yet officially announced the device in India.

Google Launches Street View For Monuments in India: Will Start With 100 Monuments

The Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) has partnered with Google to create a 360 degree imagery of India’s important heritage sites, which will include Taj Mahal, Khajuraho and Ajanta and Ellora caves.

The company claims that the mission is to make information more accessible, as Google hopes to help make more of India’s heritage accessible to people around the world and also to preserve the history for the coming generation. Starting today Google will work with the ASI to bring the street view trekker, a wearable bag like designed device with a camera system on top, check it out in the image below.

This trekker is designed to capture images in remote sites or places that are only accessible by foot. Once published, this imagery of the Indian heritage will be available on Google Maps and on World Wonders Site. Part of Google Culture Institute, the Google Worlds Wonders Project is a platform which brings online the major world heritage sites of the modern and ancient worlds. At the launch vice president and managing director of Google India said:

In a country like India, where we have the world’s second largest population and 5,000 years of history, rich and cultural diversity, technology can help us share the Indian experience with the rest of the world – and each other- more effectively than ever before. We’re honored to be working with the ASI to help make these important Indian heritage sites available for the world to experience online.”

Intex has expanded its Aqua range by launching the Aqua HD in the Indian market, the device is available in the market for 15,900 INR, this price is the MRP so you can expect it to be cheaper in the markets.

The Intex Aqua HD has a 4.7 inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with a 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of in built storage, which can be expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card. Lenovo Showcased its New Range of Gaming PC’s

Lenovo today launched its new range of gaming PCs that includes the IdeaCentre Horizon 27, IdeaPad Y510p and the IdeaPad Z510 for the Indian market. All these devices are equipped with high performance graphics and audio, all of these devices comes along with windows 8.

Shailendra Katyal, Director- Consumer Business, Lenovo India said, “We are happy to enter the gaming sphere with a complete portfolio of gaming machines that cater to both individuals and families. The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon 27 will be available in India from next week, at a price of Rs. 1,36,500.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p features a 15.6 inch full HD LED Glare display. It runs 4th generation of Intel Core i7 processor and is powered by dual NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB dual graphics with use of Ultrabay technology. The device comes with a 8 GB of RAM and includes a 1 TB of Hard disk.

Some other features of this device are backlight enabled accutype keyboard with touchpad, USB 3.0 Port, HDMI output, 720p HD Webcam and Dual Digital Array Microphones. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p will be available in India from next week in Black colour, at a price of Rs. 69,990.
