Windows 3.0

This was launched in 1990 and became the first Windows that required a hard drive to launch it. There were three main things that were introduced with this installation – it had the ability to run MS-DOS programmes, it supported 256 colours and thereby being to us a modern and colourful interface, and finally it introduced Solitaire.
