If rumours are to be believed, Samsung is working on releasing a Exynos 8870 chipset. This chipset would be mainly for Samsung’s external clients like Meizu. Additionally, rumours further suggest that Meizu Pro 6 and Pro 6 Mini are expected to come equipped with this chipset next year. The performance of the chipset is expected to be as good as that of Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
The rumour which has emerged out of China expects the chipset to be official sometime in 2016. Samsung, however, is expected to make use of Exynos 8890 as the chipset of its own high-end devices instead of this rumoured Exynos 8870. Speculations will continue making the rounds for a while until something gets confirmed by Meizu or Samsung.
